  Odd you should bring this up, as I really had a mental wrestling match with this little "problem." If the fetus isn't alive, then it should be ok to remove it, much as you would a gall bladder. If it is alive it should be treated with tenderness and care. Personally, I think the fetus is alive, it's simply getting it's oxygen and nourishment from the mother, and women who have had babies will tell you the baby is very active before birth.

  So, even though abortion disturbs me, I got out of the judgement business 20 years ago and if someone has the proceedure, I won't think any less of them for doing what that individual thought was necessary. Bug

  WT Storm Troopers Good news Bad News

  bev vigo and peter ellis of the uk stormtroopers ,sorry service department have to make the report concerning the inactive publishers campaign to brooklyn in the next two weeks, infact all boe's have to send the report to the co by this saturday, and his report has to get to bethel by next wednesday.

  the word coming through from the travelling overseers so far is that the report will be a bit of a mixed bag.

  bad news, even though the local boe and the co's will no doubt jazz it up a bit, it seems that the uptake for ones being reactivated will be very low, probably those who still attend meetings but don't report will be persuaded to do the "odd hour" but the long term cynics are not interested.

  I understand that the publisher rate in the UK continues upward but many reactivated ones are reporting very low hours dragging the averages lower than they've ever been before.

  Obviously the elders have used some subtle force to get inactive ones back in the fold, "if you don't come back you will be da'd and your family will not be able to associate with you." This is a short term fix and will not survive the long haul. Bug

  dodging questions ... doing that "rabbit in the headlights" lost look.

  tv interviewer is p*** poor (much too respectful) ... where is paxman when you need him!

  EX JW, Longo murder trial, opening statements.

  today the trial opened for christian longo the disfellowshipped jehovah's witness that is accused of murdering his wife and three young children in a small coastal city in oregon.

  the prosecution went into detail describing how christian longo had premeditation in his acts and how he planed his steps after and before the murders.

  i won't go into the details of how he killed his wife and kids but i would like to bring out a few of the statements he made during an interview with an fbi agent he sat with on the flight back from mexico.. christian longo in a somewhat calm voice told the fbi agent why he did what he did.

  An excellent, although disturbing report. I'm quite sure most of us understand the forces that motivated this man, but he did go off the deep end. Understanding the WTBTS little cult twists does not excuse killing his own family, but they have a lot to answer for in this incident. Thank you for your very fine reporting. Bug

  Hang-Gliding and Skydiving were disfellowshipping offenses according to a conversation I had with one of their Ministerial Servants because a person doing so was "taking their life, which belonged to Jehovah, into their own hands." I wonder if they ever had to use that one.

  I suspect hang-gliding and skydiving, if properly done, are no more dangerous than driving to an assembly. Good thing I'm not attending, there would be a constant battle with the elders. Bug

  DakotaRed Has Been Spoiled

  as many know, witchywoman came to visit me this past week and returned home today.

  all in all, it was the most wonderful 4 days we have both spent in a very long time.

  having her with me was very comfortable and felt so natural.. i cooked meals everyday, to impress her of some of my other talents, of course .

  after dodging the bullet for a few weeks, the elders finally made their way to our house today.

  the reason i think this to be so, is because he asked me what he should write down for my report.

  Make it clear that when they are in your home, you set the agenda, they do not. If they do not wish to live by the rules you set, show them the door with the warning to not let it hit them on the butt on the way out !! I have given this a lot of thought since my wife and I are facing an elders visit soon. Posts such as this are extremly helpful. Bug

  Less We Forget-Unplanned Retirement.

  of the many abuses that the society is responsible for is the unplanned retirement of so many who have given their youth and strength and have sacrificed their whole lives, even selling their homes and businesses,not going to college etc.

  on the words coming out of the so-called slaves' mouth that we trusted in about an "end" that never materialized.. many are now turning more attention to their personal finances as many more face an unplanned retirement.many are hopelessly in debt and burdened with mental / emotional problems from years of pioneering and slaving until they can give no more.disappointed from an "end" that never materialized.. the wt.study for today,march 9,2003 continues this abuse when it tells the rank and file not to plan for your future retirement, just continue to come to the meetings,continue to study wt.aids,continue to put the preaching work first,forget about wasting time in the pursuit of your own personal needs, just pray, just pray.. i am one of many who has become a victim of this kind of abuse.so, for those of you who are young and still have years ahead of you,avoid having to wake up to the realization of an unplanned retirement.by all means plan for your future,do not let this abuse of enslavement of your youth ensnare you as the wt.study for today is continuing to try to do to the unwary.. how many on this forum can testfy to the years of service they gave to the society and now have to try and recover from an unplanned retirement as i am doing now.. blueblades, 60 yrs old and making up for lost time (32 yrs.awt.slave ) and involved in a new career in the health field and not planning to retire for a long time yet.

  Exactly Joanna, all religions resort to threats in one way or the other, hellfire, shunning, etc. It will be a cold day in July in South Texas before I join another religion.. Bug
