One thing I've always agreed with Joe Rutherford on is that " religion is a snare and a racket" .I just didn't have sense enough to apply that to the WTS until I was over 40. To try to snare you thru your kids is disgusting.

Wish I knew the secret. I haven't always been that successful, as the first marriage lasted about a year. The second time around I got lucky and married a great woman. I didn't marry because of her personality, which was good, but because she had a cute butt. Sorry, among my other faults I am a male. Bug

Well, looks as if we may have a few things in common. I can certainly see why you don't appreciate what the two major parties are putting forward this year. I just pick the one that best suits my opinions and go with it. No way will I totally agree with one or the other party. But that's ok, my wife and I don't always agree but this November we will have managed to stay married for 39 years, assuming we don't get divorced between now and then. I was under the assumption you are liberal, sorry about that.

Oh, I don't see any reason for boycotting Heinz. I don't agree with her opinions but as far as I know she hasn't resorted to gutter language. The Dixie Chicks made their statement outside the country to a foreign audience, which I didn't think was approiate.

Wow, I can't count the many times that the right has said that over the last couple of years to the ones who didn't support the war with IraqI have never said that to or about anyone in my entire life, as I don't agree that someone should leave for expressing an opinion. Plus I am not responsible for what someone else says. Politics aside, was it really right that she was Slim Fast's spokesperson anyway? I mean really? Was she really THAT slim THAT fast? They should have dumped her a long time ago, not because of her views about Bush, but because she had too much junk in her trunk to be doing weightloss commercials
Very sensible post Chevy. Whoopi is probably one of the most talented individuals in show business and under normal circumstances she would be a great spokesperson, but big stars tend to go think they can get away with anything.

Robdar, the only way I support the boycott is by not buying their records. Following your line of reasoning I would be compelled to but their recordings to show I'm not boycotting.
