  The Saddest Thing About Tony Morris's Removal

  i've mentioned before how i've wondered how tony morris must have felt when he was sacked.

  yes, i know he's a rehensible human being who got served a healthy dose of karma, or, if you like, divine judgement.

  to go from having all there is to have within the world he lived in, to where he is now; that's a long fall.

  shunning the congregation

  i was watching a youtube by jerome about religious freedom part 2. it was so disgusting to see the two jw testifying that instead of the congregation shunning those who disassociate, it is the person who disassociates that is choosing to shun the congregation.

  the commissioners kept asking why someone who had been sexually abused had to be shunned if they disassociated ....jdubs talked in circles and never answered the question.

  so glad i woke up and got out ...to support the org is a reproach to anything decent..

  i know of many witnesses still hanging on for armagedon but when will they give up?

  Sure, they can do all of that, and absolutely should, but where does that leave them?

  The kind of mainstream reform you’re describing basically eliminates all the unique things about the WTS that they held up as proof they had “The Truth”…

  …they’d be just another denomination among denominations.

  Take that line of thought to its inevitable conclusion, and the claim of “God’s Exclusive Earthly Organization” becomes essentially nonexistent.

  At that point, where’s the incentive for any rank-and-filer to stay?

  on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

  a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

  in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

  Can you openly express doubts in the congregation these days?

  i know of a lovely old sister who has been a jw for several decades now who openly expresses doubts about jw interpretations.. she does it in such a lovely way and everyone loves her.

  she is such a sweet old soul, makes everyone happy around her.. she has said things like- even if we have got it wrong about this and that i still believe the bible is gods word”.

  she answers up regularly and she goes on ministry groups but like most of us she is definitely jwlite, we don’t really do door to door work anymore.
