by redsetter2 ini am sure we were all shocked at the governing body update #2 with the unusual and impulsive changes set forth.. i am an insider at whq, and when i was on reddit and in communication with avoidjw i explained to the best of my ability that the approach on disfellowshipping was going to change based on the new light at the 2023 agm, that the jubilee rumor was false, and there were going to be changes on how jws approached disfellowshipping in response to the norway situation if it didn't turn out in watchtower's favor.
the decision came because of a legal blow to watchtower, not because "holy spirit" wad directing a faithful slave, who is going to become the "evil slave", more explanation on this soon.. everything i stated came true.
i left reddit exjw community due to the immature and mentally unstable nature there, and yet as has been the case my words came true.

Remember, cracking down on sexuality was always far more about appearing morally purer than everyone else, to reinforce the Jehovah’s Witness religion’s alleged superiority and exclusivity, as opposed to simply wanting folks to be genuinely better people (not to mention that WT theology also simply reflected conventionally conservative American culture, just dialed up to eleven).
It’s pretty obvious by now, however, that…
a) …sexual repression fosters sexual deviancy (duh), which has become a real problem amongst both the leadership and rank-and-file, and cannot be kept on the down-low anymore…
…and…
b) …just going by the sheer volume of “local needs” talks about “fornication”, JWs fuck like bunnies anyway, and everyone knows it by now, which puts the lie to the allegation that they’re more sexually moral than “The World”.
Cracking down even harder on poontang (in any form) is just too obviously and embarrassingly hypocritical, so a concession like what’s described would really just be reality dictating policy a bit more realistically.
Not to mention that having these changes to the rules would probably only be specifically detailed in confidential correspondence to BOEs… they’d be advised to put it into practice, but not necessarily spell it out explicitly to the rank-and-file, per se…
…“need-to-know”, as it were.

New rules for dress & greeting disfellowshipped: It's even worse!
by neat blue dog ini know they're panicking and trying to gain favor with governments, former members, prospective converts & those who are teetering, all for financial worries.
still, the latest update in some ways made things worse, and if there's any jws watching it who are beginning to wake up it should be very disturbing.. starting with dress codes: they say that suits, ties & skirts are no longer required, but in so doing they admit that they were required, something not often appearing as an explicit command in print.
(similar to how lett referred to the "policy on beards" in his video, even though this direct policy wasn't made available to rank and file.

Lawsuits for shunning for decades
by jehovaxx innow they suddenly examine the context of these scriptures and have come to the conclusion that it only applies to apostates and those who continue in serious sin???????.
there are families torn apart by their shunning policies and some have said the gb are wrong and these scriptures only apply to those carrying on in serious sin?
but no for the last several decades families have been ripped apart for lifelong shunning just because some don’t want to be jws anymore.. the lawsuits that are to come will not make up for life long relationships being ruined.

Authentic mainstream reform would - for all intents and purposes - take everything about JWs that they held up as proof they alone have “The Truth”, and flush it down the toilet…
…up to and including the all-important claim of being “God’s Exclusive Earthly Organization”.
They’d be just another denomination with an embarrassing past… no different from all the other churches they spent decades condemning as “false religion”.
Except for the lifelong institutionalized, there’d be no real incentive left to even be a Jehovah’s Witness.
