  Well, I certainly can't imagine a more obvious sign of desperation.

  In Crisis of Concience, Ray Franz mentioning something like a "loyalty oath" being suggested back in the 70s. I remember thinking as I was reading, "Guys, that's what the f**king Nazis did. You really wanna go down that road?"

  I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're dusting off that playbook now, though.

  That assumes GB2.0 actually thinks that anything said in the XJW community might be worth listening to.

  Since when have authoritarian high control groups valued anything said by their enemies? The WTS doesn't even want an independant pro-WT prescence on the net.

  Remember a while back Dogpatch wrote a piece about how high control groups fragment into schisms at a certain point in their lifetimes?

  A lot of the (professed) anointed are revered among the R&F. I wonder if this could help that fragmentation along...

  the average jw must be thinking that surely means something.

  will we see enthusiasm on a scale not seen since the mid 70s?

  Historically, apocalptic millenialist groups need to date-set to effectively rally the troops and bring in recruits.

  Unfortunately, the WTS can't really get away with that anymore, so it's much harder to match the enthusiasm of the early 70s.

  im new to the site, as my username implies i am an abuse survivor, it was more then sexual, it was a very horrific type of abuse and no surprise the jw's that were involved were and still are being protected.

  i have found posts here to be encouraging and glad to see i am not alone in my struggle and my fight.. i have a constant struggle/battle with emotional and mental health issues from the many many years of abuse but i am a fighter and try to keep on going, but am so glad to have found this site, it seems to be a source of encouragement :).

  according to 2 reports thus far from 2012 annual meeting, this is new light.

  some may need more time and verification to post an opinion on this, but i plan on showing the scriptural fallacies of this "new light".
