I gotta say, telling the loyal rank-and-file to "go underground and wait out the Great Tribulation" will never be easier.

Will "social distancing" help JWs wake up.
by Tantalon inwith the existing and still to come covid19 lock downs in many countries i wonder if not being obliged to attend meetings and field service will give many jws the opportunity to clear their mind a little and start to see the cracks.
i know they will be expected to log on to their devices but with no one other than family to monitor this it could be a circuit breaker for many.
of course the fear of end times pestilence may counter that.

Just shutting down KH meetings alone will help a significant number to WTexit, simply because the conditioning needs regular booster shots just to stay viable, for all but the most hardcore loyalists, and even then...

People criticize the rank of The WatchTower and Awake!
by dydeonwl inpeople are not willing to accept the popularity of the watchtower and awake as these magazines belong to jw.
a listing site has declared the watchtower the most popular magazine in the world.. source: https://tingtopten.com/2020/01/top-10-most-popular-magazines-in-the-world/.
in comment section of this link people are abusing again jehovah's witnesses.

@ dydeonwl...
I thought that, according to WT eschatology, the WTS would be hated and persecuted, especially in the last days of the Last Days.
How can the literature of a hated and persecuted group be "popular"?

Kh's will be gone in 5 years! Here's how it will work
by nowwhat? inbesides the media center they are going to build in n.y. it's been noted they are also building one and a studio in australia.
there is no way donations can cover these massive projects.
so the money will have to come from the sale of the remaining halls.

nowwhat? - "...what's going on now is an excellent trial balloon to see if the jdubs will enthusiastically accept streaming and zoom meetings. This will probably speed up their timetable to sell off kingdom halls!... my opinion"
Hard to argue with.

caves - "Never in my wildest imaginings did I ever think when I was in that the meetings would be online or over video. When I saw tablets being used for the studies I was on the way out with my head tilted to the side like a dog trying to figure out what in the hell they were doing."
Karaoke Kingdom Songs is the thing that makes me shake my head the most.
I actually saw that first in a "Christendom" church funeral, and thought it was weird then... if you'd asked me if we'd ever see that at a JW meeting, I'd have laughed out loud.

They're all alone in their respective houses!
by StephaneLaliberte inwhen you look into all the publications and predictions about the last days, the jws are always represented in groups in someone's house.
this isn't happening right now.
they are all told to stay in their individual homes and watch jwsteaming!.

Smiles - "They want the end time to come in their lifetime..."
This.
And deep down, the real reason for a lot of them is that they're under the mistaken impression that once the End comes, they'll finally be free of the Watchtower.
Know how I now?
'Cause that was me.

Know what's really fucked up?
Human psychology being as glitchy as it is, telling the loyalist rank-and-file "don't feel guilty" will almost certainly trigger guilt in some of the more unstable ones.

Rumor of Religion wanting to contact Inactives
by LongHairGal ini saw a post on reddit from somebody claiming to be an elder that the jw religion wants to contact all inactives.. some of the responses indicate that some were contacted or had close friends or relatives being asked for their contact information.
some of these people have been out of the jw religion for many years and have moved on.
the ones contacted said the jw informed them about cancelled meetings (as though they would care).

What SHOULD have woken you up ?
by Phizzy infor myself, there is an embarrassingly long list of things that really should really have woken me up, fully.
it was a long process for me, as a mind controlled born in, things i simply did not agree with, or knew were downright wrong, that built and built, and, eventually i woke up, after 58 bloody years in !.
but just mainly for fun, what should have woken you up ?.

Half banana - "...the old lady was quite a sweet, well meaning but truly obsessive pioneer. A few years later she was put permanently into a home for the mentally ill."
Years ago, an older lady in my congregation confided to me that she seemed to notice more and more JWs - particularly women - who were suffering from mental health problems.
At the time, I didn't think it wise to suggest that maybe the JW worldview and lifestyle might actually be the reasons, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking it.
