Sorry, but I can’t think of any way that you can spin “paying back Caesars things to Caesar” as persecution, and have anyone with half a brain take it seriously.

It’s not about marriages.
It’s about loss of official registration as a state-recognized religion and the regular state-sponsored checks that came with it.

My report from the "trying my patience" DC
by nowwhat? inembedded in the cleveland ohio convention.
pre covid attendance was always 7k+ this year 4500.. 37baptised mixed bag.
less then half were children.. as far as patience goes, it can certainly help you be a better person when dealing with others but needless to say, this having patience waiting for jehovah is pure b.s.!

Possibilities:
a) They were His organization, but they’ve strayed so far, so egregiously, that (like He did with Israel) he used the “nations” (i.e. “Satan’s World”) to smack ‘em. Hard.
b) They falsely claimed the mantle of His organization, so He simply sits back and lets them inevitably (and deservedly) hang themselves with their own hubris-noose.
c) He doesn’t actually exist, and eventually the rest of the civilized world gets tired of their bullshit and shuts ‘em down.
These three options are the most likely, but - more importantly - all end the same way… because from what I can see, they are way past the point of positive reform (voluntarily or otherwise)…
…since - at their core - they simply refuse to acknowledge even to themselves that they are, quite simply, wrong.

At what point, does one become apostate to the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Vanderhoven7 inat what point does a jehovah’s witness cease to be a jehovah’s witness?
what if a witness doesn't believe some of the official teachings of the governing body but remains silent on these subjects to avoid being disfellowshipped?
is he or she an apostate to the faith?

@ Pallbearer…
I’m not exaggerating.
I don’t have the book on hand at the moment, but there’s plenty of PDF copies available at different locations around the net. Feel free to check.
And there is absolutely a section which describes how - for all intents and purposes - thinking the GB is wrong about something technically constitutes apostasy. They may phrase it in “theocratic” terminology, but make no mistake, that’s what it means.
It’s been discussed here more than once.

a real estate document on the robeson county website is filed:.
the religious order of jehovah's witnesses has provided a "life estate" for them.they can live in this townhouse until they are deceased or choose to move away and in either case the ownership becomes entirely the property of jehovah's witnesses.

FFGhost - “Now that people know where he lives, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone tracks him down, in a Lumberton grocery store or post office or liquor store, and chats him up while secretly recording it.”
Oh, hell, yeah.
But… play it gentle, be nice, and - eventually - get him good and soused.
Then hit “rec”, sit back, and see what happens.

Interesting line of thought, Rat.
The WTS insists that it has God’s exclusive favour.
Okay.
What did God do when his favoured nation Israel got out of line and wouldn’t straighten up?

If you follow the logic in the confidential elders’ handbook, “Shepherding the Flock of God”, you technically become an “apostate” the moment you think the Governing Body is wrong about something.
