  the encyclopedia britannica says that papal excommunication is not without pagan influence.

  I have never known personally, one Catholic that was excommunicated (disfellowshiped ). I HAVE known many JW's that have been.

  Does that mean JW's are even more Pagan than the RCC ?

  the crooks have come up with a scanner that reads your keychain remote locking code.

  when you walk away from your car and lock the doors theives sitting nearby capture the code and can then unlock your car while you are shopping.. lock your car the old fashioned way, with the lock button before closing the door..

  UPDATE: on the pirate publisher that was selling my book...

  back in may, i had a friend email me after the release of our jwstruggle video and tell me that the book i wrote and had published was all over the internet and some of you requested that i keep you up to date, so here goes.. i hired an attorney to write the publisher a letter.

  they stopped selling hard copies and the digital copies of my book but have still not sent a full accounting of how many of my books they sold and reimbursed me and are now ignoring my phone calls and attorneys letters.

  so the lawyer suggested that since it is difficult to sue internationally, i call the local office of the fbi.

  Thanks for the update. Could they have just settled and paid you some money ? Seems alot easier than being in trouble with the feds.

  i am looking for some advice - or maybe just some moral support.. i can't find the link to my previous thread... but in a nutshell... husband and i got married a couple months ago after 10 or so years together.

  he was never baptised, but grew up 'in'.

  i never had any exposure to the craziness til i met him and his family.

  I remember your post from before. You knew they would not toast at weddings. I know it's stupid ,but was a toast so important to you that you let it get you to the point of damaging your relations with your husband and his family. I married a Catholc, and had a small wedding, but being I was raised a JW It never entered my mind to have a toast.

  Chill out ! Don't sweat the small stuff.......Pick your battles. You don't have to live with his family ( thank God ) So just be nice and keep away from them as much as possible.

  I would not like it if my husband made me choose between him and my sister all the time. He never has because he knows I love her. Don't play that game whatever you do.

  They came to your wedding so that's good. They were probably not very warm to you because to them you were living in sin ( if you were living together ) Maybe now that your married it will be better. Give it a chance.

  I think about the toast thing..... Clinking glasses at a BQ might be different then at a wedding ( to them ) and their crazy rules. They will not throw rice at a wedding either... But would throw it for ?? a joke or something

  JW's aways have to talk about how bad the world is getting. That is their thing. It keeps them thinking the new world is coming soon. They NEED to think that. So when they say that to you, just tell them that crime rates are going down. Do the research.... THEY ARE....lol......that will shut them up fast because they can't handle the truth.......That goes for any subject earth quakes ect. Do the rsearch...

  My best advice is just laugh, they say and do funny things........you can scream or laugh....I say laugh.....I'm laughing right now thinking of them all sitting at the table making a fool of their selves by not toasting.......they must have looked stupid......but You made them look that way...if you knew what would happen....not so nice of you right?

  I had a good childhood growing up a JW. Yes I missed out on things, but if you never had them you don't know. My mom was the best. So if he says it was good, believe him. Please be happy. Don't let this darken your marriage. If you are in good health that is the main thing.......HUGS

  JW's will foam at the mouth if you pray to Jesus? Do they try to tell you this prior to the big sting?

  it took me 7 years to figure out that jeho's are mortified to sit in the room if you pray to jesus.

  i've prayed to jesus my entire life.

  i tell my estranged spouse that she can pound sand if she doesn't like me praying to jesus with my two little girls.. i tell her and her mom to pound lots and lots of sand if you think i"m going to stop praying to jesus.

  Even if you talk about Jesus too much, they get very uncomfortable. If you were to say " I love my lord and savior Jesus Christ "

  They would look at you like you lost your mind. JW's just do not talk about Jesus very much. Less and less as time goes by. IMO

  Armageddon Is Right Around the Corner!

  if one were to poll present day jehovah's witnesses, what kind of a timeframe do you think they have for armageddon?.

  do they still discourage higher education despite the fact they've been wrong so many times?.

  one more thing about armageddon...how do they think it's going to start?

  well, my 89 year old jw mom has been in her new apartment now for over 4 months.

  my sister and i moved her back to mi.

  from fl.. we were forced to by the jw's who wanted to commit her.

  I asked a JW here about the " we can't help you if you have family " They said yes it's true. That does not mean members in the congregation can't help you if they want to. ( nobody wanted to) The elders will not take it upon themselves to go around to individuals to bring it to their attention that there is a need to help someone to the store or doctor. Bring them a home cooked meal, cut their grass, things that could help. My mom is shy and would never ask for anything.

  When my mom was younger she sure cooked and ran the older JW's all around town. They were her friends. They are all dead now.

  When it was her turn, nobody was there for HER. What a bummer to out live all your friends. If you are a JW , make sure you are the oldest of your friends and NOT the youngest.......lol Oh, and don't live too long !

  They could never commit her. They could call someone from the state ,like you call soical services if someone is not taking care of their child. They have to come out and check even if it was not true. My mom was in good health. She does not even need a cain. Her house was so clean it sold in one day and she only has one cat...lol She does have some short term memory problems. If they came out and she got confused on what year it is....well I don't know, she would be upset. What would happen ???? I did not want to chance it. Maybe we would have to go to court to get her back ??? If the JW's would have kept out of it, my mom could have stayed in her own home a little longer. The worldly neighbor loved her and was doing a great job helping her. The elders told me they could not help her because she has family !

  Yes, she has family, her family was 1,200 miles away.......... Another stupid JW rule.......to get out of doing the right thing......just like the 2 witness rule for abusing a child. At least they come up with a scripture for that one....oh wait, I'm sure there's one about taking care of family.... and friends can't lift a finger....... I know my mom. I knew when she left her home she would go down hill, and she has.

  Have any of the elders called me since she's been back to see how she's doing ?
