Governing body member engaged... Again!

just found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.

it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.

what made me say "woah" was hearing that the holy bride to be is really young!

i have lurked now and then, just decided to join.. my older brother and i were raised by our jw mom, but our dad was a non-practicing catholic.

so we went to the hall, but were considered "weak" witnesses, since our family still celebrated xmas and birthdays, to appease my dad i suppose.

as a kid, i loved these holidays.. anyways, when my brother was 17 (i was 13), he spent a few weeks with our cousins in ky, who are all gung-ho j-dubs, and upon his return, he decided he was going to be more "theocratic".

Welcome Jay, I was also was raised in SE MI with a JW mom and unbelieving dad. I remember all the parties and fun the JW teens were having. I was 13-14 yrs old then. The group would not hang with me because they thought I was to young. I had go go to the world where age was just a#....lol lol It made me mad because I looked older then some of the girls, and longed to have friends. Now I'm glad because I may have got sucked into being baptized. Missed the fun by 2 yrs, but it sounds like it didn't last .

Thanks for telling your story. A few weeks ago a brother from my moms con. called me on the phone and threatened me. Do Something about your mom or the athorities will be stepping in and seize your mom's house and car. Yes mom is old and has short term mermery loss, but her house is clean and a neighbor takes care of her. NO JW can help her because she has family ( elder said that ) Where is the love ?? My sis and I had to go rescue her from the crazy unloving JW's I feel your pain !!!! My mom feels betrayed also !!! Hugs to you and your beautiful wife..... You guys are so CUTE !

I will go because my mom asks every year if I'm going, it gives her hope and makes her happy. She is 89 . Since I do go every year, that allows me to say a few things about the org. without her thinking I am a crazy apostate. Apostates don't go to the memorial

Deteriorating content of the WT

has anyone noticed the recent deterioration in the quality of wt's contents lately?..

the spiritual food seems to be getting more and more shitty these days.

i have given a thought to what could really be going wrong, and if it is likely that some on the wiriting committee is consciously dishing out those nonsense to facilitate more poeple seeing ttat.
