  does anyone here have any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the watchtower bible and tract society?

  mom gave a lot of money to the watchtower bible and tract society over her lifetime- (6 figures).

  after she ran low on funds she made a 5 figure "conditional loan" to wtb&ts.

  You will never hear another religion say that . Can you even imagine someone saying "Thank you, I'm a Roman Catholic" Just so creepy. I think you may have planted a little mustard seed....lol. Here is this very nice older lady that lost all her family because she doesn't believe in 1914. He is very young and as time goes by, he may have doubts about 1914 himself. He will think back to meeting you. Or who knows, they could change the date and you had your family taken away for nothing...............oh wait, that's right, you ran ahead of GOD...................Crazy.......Hugs to you !!!

  The blood.....The shunning...... But personally, how they kicked my 89 year old mother ( JW 59 yrs ) to the curb.I was SHOCKED !!!! I have vented about it on many of my posts.

  "i'm perfect, you're doomed" by kyria abrahams, 2009, touchstone.. if you want a way to get people out of that horrible cult, easily, quickly and expeditiously, then here is how to do that.. i can say with a vote of confidence that anyone who reads this book will never and i mean never become a dub.

  dubs who read it (assuming they have at least one or two brain cells left) will run from their religion like flies on shit when you pour bleach on it and blow it up with dynamite.. toss away crisis of conscience, apocalypse delayed, 30 years a watchtower slave and all those other very nice books and read this one.

  I love love love this book........She is so funny. I totally get her humor. I can relate to her as I too was raised a JW. Farkel, we are on the same page here. I would highly recommend this book !!! FIVE STARS.. I would love to hang out with her any day.

  I am happy for Richard, that he has no long term effects from his encounter . PTSD. Some people do. Just like in war, not every soldier gets PTSD. I think he is speaking from his own experience . Some people poo poo PTSD untill they get it. Still love the guy !

  they're tired... sooooo soooo tired.

  they know it's all wrong but they keep telling themselves how wonderful it is.

  almost as if they are trying to convince themselves.

  My old JW mom also noticed how small the mags are. I just said JW's are now on a diet......thier food is a few crumbs compared to the meat they use to get..lol..... my mom laughed and said yes, I wonder why . I felt bad for her so I said the public does not read much anymore.

  When I have a smart ass remark, I feel bad because she is 89 yrs old. If it were anyone else I would have let my remark stand.

  I only know a few JW's here. They all complain they can't get any FS time. When they come to my house to drop off the mags, they stay at least 1/2 hour and never never talk about the bible. Everything but God , Jesus or the bible.......Very strange.
