cofty: your logic says so, if a baby /fetus is dependent on its mother thus it her choice to consent to the "parasite". so the same would have to apply to the hosptial having the right to choice if an accident victim how is living off of it, your saying if the baby/feus is seperated from the mother it will die, and at 8 weeks i agree, so will the accident vuctim if he is seperated from the hospital.

Question for apostates!
by TheStumbler ini have a question.. the conventional wisdom seems to be that to 'convert' a jehovah's witness (or get them to see ttatt) you have to ask questions that they cannot answer and engage with their true personality not their 'cult personality'.. intellectual arguments tend to fall flat because jws (who do not already have personal doubts) believe they already know the absolute truth so anything contrary to that truth is nessecarily wrong.
any criticism of their beliefs will be seen as an attack or persecution and will be dismissed as flawed 'human thinking' or 'apostate lies'.. to 'true believers' any amount of contrary evidence and illogical inconsistencies in their beliefs can be dismissed or explained away.
their starting point is that they have special knowledge of absolute truth and all evidence and arguments are then weighed against this preconceived belief.. here is my question.

the reason i said 8 weeks is to avoid the debate about cells we had for so many pages in the start of this thread,esp with the start of the second trimester at week 12. why should it be emotional? if i should you pics of crushed cookies or shredded paper would that bring up emotion? of course not so why would something like a 12 week fetus is its not alife just like the cookies and paper?

i have never said its ok to purposly kill a baby, i have said the reverse this whole thread, sadly in some cases the baby will die no matter what, like i said to jh: look at a week 8-23 week old fetus/baby and tell me how its not murder to kill it, sense jgnat does not want any pics of abortions posted here i will respect her, but i challange you to go to google and do an image search of before and after pics of week 8 through 23 which is legal abortions.

My brother died yesterday
by satinka in"albert" was 55 years old, and the fifth-born of seven children.
i am the second oldest and babysat him often while he was growing up --- and while i was still at home.. yesterday, albert was out taking his usual morning stroll around his small town, when he collapsed on the sidewalk.
the doctors said it was a heart attack.
