  University after leaving the Watchtower?

  Have shunning rules changed?

  just wondering if there has been any changes lately?

  my father is over 90 years old and lives with my sister, i hope she would call if he got very sick or died.

  would i even get invited to the funeral?.

  ask a witness which generation do you belong to and see if they really know how to answer.. i have decided that every time i hear a true definition of the meaning of a generation i will post it here just to reinforce the true meaning just in case a stray jw happens to look in on here.. yesterday evening i was watching an antiques programme on the television and under discussion was a very well made baby high chair from about the nineteen thirties and the approximate date of manufacture and the length of time it had been in the family.

  the expert then went on to confim how old it was and in doing so said that considering who first purchased the chair and the length of a generation that it was from the thirties and went on to say that we consider a generation to be about 25 years.. that is a truer definition of a generation than a watchtower definition.. .

  Im part of the generation that will not pass away before armageddon that overlaps with the generation that saw the events of 1914. So fucking stupid. Stupid little cult. wtf is 1914. If I ever get a terminal disease i swear ill pay a visit to upstate new york and it wont be pretty. ill do the world a fucking favor

  it can be carried in ones pocket,but if it were found in a library of 90,000 different books, it would probably turn out to be the most important one of them all.. wow a strong endorsement of the bible?

  my jw boyfriend says this all the time whenever i'm venting about life and some of its disappointments, career aspirations and how hard they are to make happen sometimes, problems with friends/family, or just random stuff that gets to me.

  i'm not a negative person or anything; i only get moody occasionally.

  i am a woman; it's kind of required.

  He just doesnt want to admit that there is happiness and good things in this world. If he found those things it might mean his belief system is flawed. Thats why there should be not even effort to look for happiness.

  Tofayel, I dont know what your talking about. I'm looking out of one our only skyscrapers in downtown indianapolis and I have heard nothing or see anything that says Indianapolis is dedicated to helping to protect JW children from sexual abuse, etc.

  I was thinking about all of this. They have fixed there problem of the rising partakers and the number being literal or symbolic. They dont have to come and say that the number is symbolic because it doesnt matter about any anointed except the GOVERNING BODY. You can spit on anyone in your hall that calls themselves anointed but as long as you obey everything the governing body says then you will be saved.

  I have been meaning to post this. Just havent got around to it till now. This talk was a couple sundays ago. I was really confused about what he meant.

  Anyway he said the 144,000 is a legimate number because it says there is one Jesus or lamb and I was like ok whatever you say. Then he goes onto say that the 144,000 will come from every tribe and nation. He quoted a scripture in revelation near chapter 14 i think. Anyway I looked to my write and it listed the twelve different tribes of israel with 12,000 people coming from them to make the 144,000. So we take some things in revelation as legimate but we dont take the 12 tribes and 12,000 people in each tribe as legitimate. Somebody isnt telling the truth here

  yesidid - It wasn't in my notes. I just heard the talk 3 hours ago. He specifically said that since the governing body cannot come be our traveling overseer that every wednesday they get together and decide where each CO and DO will go in the world. They do this because they care about us. The governing body delegated other tasks to the branch committee but they take care of this one. Otherwise, this CO is a dumbass and doesnt know what he is talking about.
