  i kinda figured i would read many negative things concerning jw, i was not disapointed............ i say if you ae not happy not just in the jw, but anywhere, life it too short move on.. .

  i myself am a wittness, an anointed witnes .

  there is no shame is sharing yr hope and i am varry happy with mine.

  There is no way any witness can be happy if he is aware of the history of this organizations manipulations of prophesy and dates. I am still involved but recognize the dangers inherant. Only a careful and plotted withdrawl over time spares souls some of the torments of those people that think they are entitled, biblical scholars-not, and the only creation blessed by God on the face of the earth. Woe to this elitist mentality of both it's leadership and those who are its field commanders particularly. And secondly, pity goes out to the "rank and file" for having to bear the heavy loads of these types of leaders. I am constantly amazed at what I do not know about the bible and the science after 50 years with JWs.

  I am glad you ARE HAPPY but if you are a researcher, truly, your happy days are numbered.

  How Important is knowing the Truth, Really?

  is the quest of trying to find out worth the risk and the sacrifice of losing the love of friends and family?

  oh, i know many of you will say the "love" is fake or not true if it can't hold up to scrutinty.

  The question is not easily answered. But untruth is worth knowing and identifying because there is always greed and domination at the end of it. True freedom or as close as we can get to it, is perhaps in identifying what falsehoods there are out there, and this enables you to avoid being a captive of others wishes and desires. It is like being a "savvy shopper". The pursuit of truth or knowledge will never end.

  You are correct, and very few know the history. This is what I had on it. It is cross referenced in Proclaimers Book so not completely obscured...

  A public talk titled "The World Has Ended; Millions Now Living May Never Die" was first delivered on February 24, 1918 in Los Angeles, California. Just five weeks later, on March 31, 1918 the title was changed to indicate absolute certainty and the word "May" was substituted by the word "Will". So the new title became "The World Has Ended; Millions Now Living Will Never Die." The public talk continued to be delivered under that same title until 1925. The material in that talk was published in 1920. For decades Jehovah's Witnesses believed that they would never die in this system and that they would simply pass on into a righteous new earth. Now, of course, that belief has been dropped and it is considered "old light."

  to be honest with you, it reminded me of a police crime scene investigation with yellow tape.

  what i mean is, in one respect it was business as usual.
