  Funny story....... years ago placing "The Greatest Man who ever Lived" Book.... door to door. My father asked this kind of -burnout looking guy- "Who do you think the greatest man who ever lived is"? he said "Axl Rose" ... no other comment. he of course is the lead singer of Guns and Roses. My dad in his 70s then, looks at me with that "WTF" look "who"???

  "never mind I'll tell you later" Still one of all time funniest stories of field service to me.

  To Answer to your question: Humble people that aren't judgemental.

  is he a reliable scholar?.

  (most of anti-jehovah's witnesses in japan hardly know his name.).

  is he an active jehovah's witness?.

  I do not know for sure everything about him only heresay, and a few emails with him back and forth. I believe he told me that he had been a DO at one point?? Pretty sure of this point. He is no longer at Oslo Un. he retired. Other than that it just made me sad in conversation with him to have his education (which I would give anything for...but working on...) and the fact that he still follows, and feels compelled to obey the GB. He evidentally has faith.... For many people being accepted into mass movements, and noteriety, adulation, if even locally etc... is the catalyst I think. He feels accepted, appreciated, preaches acceptance of 607 as an accurate date etc... life is good??? Most JWs do not know of him though.

  i'm looking to purchase a 10" tablet & are seriously considering the acer iconia 16gb.

  price has alot to do with it au$355.

  i don't need 3g as i have portable wifi & i don't want the extra month cost.

  IPAD 2 or maybe Kindle Fire. Steer clear of Asus for sure.

  Used to be a DO, or District Overseer over Circuits, and Circuit Overseers of JWs, for those unfamiliar with the initials.

  Former professor at Oslo University I beleive. Akkadian, Sumerian, some Greek and Hebrew background?? Definately supports GB.

  Once tried to convince me about 607 BCE. Says GB are sincere men. Explains matters by correlating sumerian tablets and prophesies in Jeremiah and Daniel and party line.

  As are most , he is very sincere in his belief and sure things will work out for the best if maintain loyalty to GB................................................................!!

  governing body member samuel heard talk -are you ready for the finishing line?.

  so my witness "friend" plays this talk to show how near armagedon is.

  his 18 y.o daughter said "it was scary" well shocking!

  I HAVE THE TALK. IT SOUNDS LIKE SAM HERD?? ANOTHER THOUGHT AS WELL. HE IS NOT ALWAYS KNOWN FOR BEING KIND... PERSONALLY HE MADE A COMMENT TO ME ONE TIME THAT WAS BOTH IGNORANT AND INSENSATIVE. HE LIKES HIS BEER AND WINE.... AND DOESN'T MIND LOOKING DOWN HIS NOSE AT WHOEVER. NOTHING WRONG WITH BEER AND WINE, NOTHING WRONG WITH MAKING COMMENTS OCCASIONALLY THAT OFFEND OTHERS...EVERYONE DOES AND SHOULD THEN APOLOGIZE IF AWARE OF IT. BUT SINCE TALKING WITH OTHERS WHO HAVE KNOWN HIM, THEY HAVE HAD THE SAME COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS ABOUT HIM. I WILL TRY TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHO GAVE THE TALK FOR SURE??
