  I left the Witnesses over 10 years ago, but finally went back

  the entire time i was gone it was nagging at me.

  i hadn't been previously baptized, so leaving wasn't that big a deal.

  now i'm back in the swing of it, going to all meetings and field service.

  the World has been MESSED up for over 2,000+ years. We are no different than in the 1st Century, Henry the 8th's time, the Civil War, etc....

  The entire time I was gone it was nagging at me. I hadn't been previously baptized, so leaving wasn't that big a deal. Now I'm back in the swing of it, going to all meetings and field service. I hope to get baptized soon. The world is too messed up to take a chance. Does anyone else feel like this? I was sick of the nagging "what if's". I finally feel at peace. There is no what "if's NO Buddy can change the future, we are all worm food in the end, but if going back makes you feel better - do it!

  A JW told me the reason why the protestors at the Tacoma Dome District Conventions are gone.

  a jw, who i know and trust, sent me the following email:.

  "this year in tacoma i met a man at a retail store who said the watchtower societys nwt bible changed the original scriptures, especially john 1:1. he told me he owned all the old wt publications, including studies in the scriptures.

  seems his non-jw uncle had collected them.

  Barbara thanks for the Heads up, having grown up in the Tacoma area, I can wholeheartedly belive this comment

  I mean WHO wants to spend a night in the jail, hoosgow, singsing, etc. JUST for picketing the JW's

  that isn't aneough incentive for me, even if it was an idle threat -

  the JW lobby is very strong and the people that feel they bring $$$ in will do what that takes to make it happen.

  NOTHING surprises me anymore,

  I really did like it, the Grandkids loved the wide variety of children that particpated, singing, dancing, the hospital "jumping on the beds" - (FS, I am surpsed that wasn't your best part) Liked the comment about " sitting thru anything" that was a hoot!

  But all in all I think Danny Boyle "dun good"

  The comedy was VERY VERY British, and us Yanks may have had a hard time to try and understand,

  what power does "the european court of human rights" have in a case like this.

  can they actually tell france what to do??

  do members of a congregation usually snitch on each other for "sinful behaviour" a fellow member is caught doing ?.

  like smoking for example.

  how common is this snitching in the name of jehovah and is it encouraged by elders or in propaganda works ?.

  how many faithful true believer jw's are "waiting on jehovah" to straighten out their religion?.

  i know of many.. most of these impatient people are pissed off and squirming.. they have usually been inside the kingdom hall for many, many years and have seen the many stumbles and changes.. and, frankly, they are sick and tired of being sick and tired.. .

  "wait on jehovah" has been the only counsel offered to stave off outright rebellions.. .

  JEhovah (if you believe in God) has NEVER intervened before, why would he start now.

  Look at the Middle Ages, the Inquisisition, why didn't he intervene then? Do you think those poor people were "Waiting" on him then?
