Finland is in the EU,

EU protects everyone , every religion, every country

Finland will have to abandon it's desire to make JW do "Service" or risk being sanctioned by EU

JW lawyers in EUROLAND will se to it in Brussells

Note, I am not a an attorney, or lawyer, just a practical guy

Why do folks feel it necessary to announce their departure from this board?

but, i've often wondered why folks feel the need to post their departure from this board.

they're free to leave or fade, etc.

i think polite is nice, and to hear that folks can move on is great! At least we know they are not dead or something.

In my part time job I wonder if people I never hear have truley died, oh well one will never know.

But mark my "woyds", if I chose to leave, I will PROMISE to have a big party and ya'll can come over to my house for libations to celebrate -

it will be like one big Wayne's World party, Most Excellent!

Can't get work after pioneering

i was just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and can advise me?.

like many here, i was bought up as a jw, with full-time service (bethel, pioneer) the only career option held out in front of me.

i wanted to take a government loan and go to university, but was forced not to, labelled 'materialistic'.. i became a pioneer / window cleaner - round here, almost all pioneer brothers window clean, unless they are retired or have a rich daddy.

By What Authority?

the jws, catholics, mormons, and a handful of others say they are the "true church" or what jesus originally intended.

i know jws call themselves the "true christians".

by what authority - outside of the bible, since 41,000 denominations use the bible to back up their individual beliefs - can jws make this claim?

Yes, and I even belong to the SSS---Silly, Stupid, Sports. We hold our meetings during Monday Night Football and sabatoge chicken wing, pizza and beer establishments. We also pool our money and buy stock in stadiums where we make sure a hotdog costs $12.

THERE IS A GROUP IN NC now, they have grown all over the USA (say they are BENGAL FANS in disguise)

Then we sit back and laugh as we watch people standing in line for three bathrooms because we voted against funding repairs. We also run a company that produces stupid foam fingers and double beer hats with straws, cutting costs by simply using left over material from real manufacturers. Mwah Hah!

I SELL THAT STUFF O EBAY - GREAT MONEY MAKERS

Edit to add: OH, and we never pay to clean the stadiums---EVER. We leave that up to JW's once a year when we turn the field over to them.

AND THEY ARE DEAD BLESSED TO CLEAN THE Turlits and Sanks for FREE!
