to date JWism has defined my life and i hate that TRUTH

and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

Oopma my brother, you can do this, but I will be truthful - Emma has great advice and so do others that offer suggestions.

I remember when you told me "why" you wanted a divorce, please rethink that , i think you may have some "Wiggle room" there,

I know she loves, and you love her, remember you may search the REST OF YOUR LIFE and NEVER find another like her again., Now that would be tragic.

We all got "Hoodwinked" it's what my shrink said "we got born into" JWland. - Our buddy in New Zealand said the same thing on another post, we just had the "fortune" of being born as JW's, Heck it could have been alot worse and we coulda been born in PAkistan and be Muslim, wouldn't that be a trip!

We were lied to, told things to control us, but now we know better and can move forward. It isn't easy but with friends we can do it. And we can make new ones. I am learning to do that every day. IT isn't easy, but it's possible and better than staying in bed all day.

We are walking similar paths, and we can help, support and encourage each other, That is what the "TROOF" is here. Look, the NFL is starting (Cam is the man), the weather is cooling down and you have a business that can support you and your family, you got some good things going on - the "glass is half full" so to speak.

Lets meet up on a regular basis, we can help each other, I need support, you need it, lets make it happen so we BOTH can have a long and happy life (however long that is ) Neal Armstrong RIP at 82.

I told you we need to play some golf. Lets do it!

Is going from the JWs to another Religion just a "Rebound?"

*a rebound is the need to fill a void with something we partly had confort in; whether in romance or faith.... .

i posted the following in another thread, and i welcome your feedback - especially if you disagree with my logic.

Even though religion only pretends to be absolutely certain about that great big, scary question, ...

Thats why we all should just move one and not worry - you cant "fear the reaper"

Massive Prayers Urgently Needed: Candace Conti Court Decision May Be Soon

i think personally, the judge was wanting to mainly see how the watchtower society would answer them.

he said he would have a decision by the 25th august.

so needless to say, everyone is nervously waiting for the day he decides.

I think the answer to your question is rhetorical - YES it is a rebound, and why do some do this?

They feel the need to socialize in a religiously organized setting, it's as simple as that. Good people still feel the need to "belong" somewhere, it fills a spot in their lives,

Not everyone has that feeling to do that AFTER they leave the Borg, some do, so let them do it if it makes them feel better and fills a gap - and here is the key....> "IN THEIR LIFE"

If that isnt' for you we understand, but to ask that question is INSANE, It's like saying when you break up with your girlfriend and next week start dating another women, is that just a "Rebound" YES YES YES

Who gives a Rats Monkeys, what the universe holds or the answers to all the Galactic questions, WE'LL NEVER have the answers to that. Heck, Einstein, Newton and Stephen Hawking do not even know the answers, why do you think WE SHOULD HAVE THE ANSWERS? There may be no answers at all, and what a folly that is looking for something that does not exist.

Like Jack Nicholson said in a FEW GOOD MEN - "we can't handle the truth" that is why we live on earth for up to 80-90 years, if we are lucky and dont get stuck in a sad Nursing home, and DIE . YES WE DIE, Worm Food, 6 feet under, Dust to Dust.

That's all it is, why waste your time, with wondering why, we'll never get the answers and all we do is lose valuable time for the more enjoyable things: Playing with our grandkids, or our best friend "Sparky" , having coffee with Mary at Cafe Nervosa or traveling to the Andes to see the ancient world of people that just like us - never had the answers either.

Just get out there and do something good...er great with your life!

Thats my take, I have to go bed, I got all worked up over this, sorry folks

Unexpected conversation with a long time JW friend (in good standing)

so tonight after the meeting, this brother whome i've grown up with invited me to eat.

he had come almost an hour late to the meeting and looked kind of down and a bit depressed.

i agreed to go eat.. there was very little talking at first.
