A question for those that have been around this board for a long time

my wife and i stopped going to meetings in 1988 and da'd in 1989. for a few years we both actively participated in the xjw world, she quit doing that a long time ago, and has pretty much completely moved on.

the other night i told her about my planned blog (which will probably launch this weekend) it will mostly be about my writing, a lot of which is mostly about jw related issues.

she asked why i am still so drawn to this subject.

My wife just told me to move out...

because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

Take a deep breath, hold it all back (TTATT) and promise her you are going anywhere because you love her "UNCONDITONALLY" and would never walk out on HER! Go to your grocery store, buy some flowers and stay the course,

Continue to a be a good husband and let her do whatever she wants in your quest for JW truth. NEVER NEVER say a negative thing about the JW's and WTBTS,

Live like that and you will have no issues in court should she try to divorce you.

Stay the Course, dont get a Divorce - (that rhymes...hahaha)

executive editors apologizing for the organization's past mistakes and proclamations.

How to tell family why you are no longer attending meetings?

so it has been over a month, maybe closer to two that i haven't attended a meeting.

my stress level has gone way down, and my life is pretty good right now.

well as you know, there are tons of nosy witnessess.

That is a great question, what worked for me (as my grandkids asked this) in my situation - is that I travel alot for work - drive over 30,000 miles a year in sales, So I can't sit down anymore than I humanely can handle.

So my "back" is very sensitive and I have to watch out I dont sit too much in a chair, sadly those meeting chairse are not good for Grandpa.

Seems to work okay, and I get odler it will be an even better excuse

i am already reading that some plan to drop their medical insurance coverage on january 1st and just pay the penalty-.

an individual with $30,000 annual income would pay a $300 penalty in 2014, $600 in 2015 and $750 in 2016.. an individual with $50,000 annual income would pay a $500 penalty in 2014, $1,000 in 2015 and $1,250 in 2016.. an individual earning $100,000 a year would pay a $1,000 penalty in 2014, $2,000 in 2015 and $2,500 in 2016.. here is your insurance subsidy calculator-.

hi all.... so my mom phoned me up this morning and said she needed to talk to me about something.

she asked me whether or not our (worldly) family thought that my husband and i were witnesses anymore.

one, someone in my family said to her, "i didn't know you guys wear short dresses like that" - commenting on a slightly above the knee dress i had worn to a family event.
