Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw...or a really good meatloaf with mashined potatoes and brown gravy. (I like the meatloaf recipe on the Quaker Oatmeal box.)

Bethel perfection bubble burst
by redvip2000 injust got back from florida where i spent the holidays with family.
about half are jdubs.. this year the prevalent atmosphere of superiority from the jw side of the family was totally toned down.
one of my cousins, a bethelite in upstate ny bethel along with his wife, found out that the wife was having an affair with a young bethelite "brother".

Stop Putting Apostate Stickers On My Literature! They "Cost Lots of Money!"
by AuntConnie in"true story" the circuit overseer came to our kingdom hall and read us the riot act (local needs style) "magazines of this quality are not free, they cost money and we are not generating enough donations to defray the cost of the magazines(or running the top of the line printing presses) i get my ass out of bed to place literature in the laundray cleaning, coin opperated shops and some asshole puts his apostate stickers on our magazines.
do you know how hard it is to get up at 6:00 am and how expensive those magazines are costing the organization to print?
please stop defiling our literature, i dont post hateful stickers on your website so please leave my magazines alone.

When I see magazines left in waiting rooms and laundramats I take them and throw them in the trash so people who are vulnerable to cults won't get a hold of them and fall prey to the Watchtower Societies evil influence.
I have also left apostate flyers in their place. I feel it helps make up for the 50 plus years I help to spread Watchtower lies and false prophecy.

Yesterday Grandpa died a faithful JW.... or was he.
by cyberjesus inyesterday at 3 am my grandfather.. 95 more or less... passed away after a heart attack... i got the call at 8 am.
so i am the oldest grandson (out of 40) he was faithful, (thats what they want to say) reality is he wasnt, he cursed, he drank, he had plenty of women during his life.. he was an elder at some point and he was ultra good with everyone.
he had a heart of gold... he treated me as his son, he never cared about my status.

i thought i would have a look at my home country's yearbook stats here in the uk (britain).. so here they are for your consideration.

Too old for an IPAD!
by Honeybucket inmy elderly(72) grandmother told my auntie that she has to get an ipad and a ipod.
my granny can barely check her email, im not sure what she thinks shes going to be doing with these apple products.
she said she needs them for the field service.... my faded aunt says if it will make her pretty and popular in the hall, cost is no matter.

iPads are expensive and I can see that they could easily be dropped on a concrete surface going door to door. I would not go that route if I were still dumb enough to be going out in field service. What if you accidentally left it at a house? You old never get it back.

New F&DS Light question

sorry if it sounds complicated, i'm not good at explaining things.. .
if the f&ds is now just the few brothers who get together to dispense the food at the proper time, and the f&ds will be appointed over all of christ's belongings, then does that mean they will be appointed above the rest of the 144,000 when they go to heaven?

Can you equate Jehovah as a murderer???
by cognac inhad this long talk with hubby about the fact that if you allow your child to die because of the blood issue you are no different then a murderer.
he said then jehovah is a murderer because he allowed his son to die.
he knew what was going to happen and allowed it when he could have stopped it..... hmmmm, not sure how to wrap my brain around that.

I feel that letting your child die rather than let them have blood or even teaching your children to refuse a life saving blood transfusion is child sacrifice. How is it not child/human sacrifice?
In Genasis, god gave humans dominion over the plants and animal life, but not human life. We have no right to decide that a child cannot receive a blood transfusion in order to save its life, as we do not have dominion over another humans life...plain and simple.
Tell that to your sweet hubby.
