WOW, I always felt that was one of their most impressive publications! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Full of quotes taken out of context you say? That's totally believable, as we have seen this many times before.

Planning exit, alternative venues to preach?
by Goodstein inbackground:.
i've come to the conclusion that many doctrines of the wts are unscriptural after many years of privately disagreeing with some of them but feeling that the society was "mostly right" and still being used by jehovah.
this turning point has happened in the last year or so.

Welcome to the group. Loved reading your first post.
Toastmasters was an excellent suggestion.
Yes, the Watchtower is wrong about almost everything. The longer you are away, the more clearly you will see it.
Do research how the bible canon came about and how much evidence there is from archeology that can verify it's believability. Use secular sources for this, as you have already discovered, as they do not twist the facts to line their pockets.

Life after WT????
by Gojira_101 ini'm just curious how many of the wonderful people on here have gone to another religion?.
i recently left the wtb$ and the non-jw friends of mine are all inviting me to their church.
i politely decline the invite saying i'm not ready.

At the age go 56, when I left the Kingdom Hall two years ago, I initially felt that god should give me a pass, after having fallen for the Watchtower lies for my whole life and making every important life decision based on them.
Then someone on this forum brought the book "the Atheist's book of bible stories." After reading that free downloadable book, most of which is available in posts on this site, it was all over for me. I did not see how the bible could be true and therefor how god could be real.

New article and video on TTATT
by RayPublisher inwell i spent a few weeks putting this one together it took sooooo much longer than i thought it would, but as you know, a few of us many of us on jwnet spend way too much time fighting the "watchtower power" hehe.
here's a couple paragraphs:.
so i had been thinking about how hard it can be to tell the difference between a high quality product, the "genuine article", and a knockoff or an inferior product recently.

Several Sites Are Down
by Juan Viejo2 inin case you have noticed, several websites that are managed and administered by me are down.
at this moment i do not know specifically why, but my hosting company (secureserver.net) tells me only that it is due to a "copyright infringement.
" i do not even know which of the 30 some sites might actually have the claimed infringement and so far all i've been told is that there is a claim and that i have to email a certain group and they will get back to me.. i have no idea when these sites will come back on line.

please help
by joyfulfader ini am posting to ask this group of wonderful people to help my friend who is with me now.
we are discussing her serious doubts and the barriers she is facing as the wife of an elder with small children.
she is desperately looking for help to pull away without causing dissention in her otherwise very good marriage.

I just lost my 87 year old mother in July and we had similar problems with the Witnesses.
Sorry to hear about your mothers condition.
About the disrespectful JW family members, I say someone has to teach them a lesson on good manners, graciousness and kindness. It may as well be you.

I'm so offended by what happened today at the KIngdom Hall!!
by Vienna Angelika inso today we were late for the meeting as usual.
this is because i take a really bad medication where i literally cannot function in the first part of the day but without it i am even worse.
we got there near the end of the talk and it was in my opinion very anoying.

Flip-flopping all over the place
by confusedteenager inone minute i'm believing completely in god and in jesus christ, and in the next instance i'm questioning all religious systems in general.
i think i'm just lacking faith, but then in the back of my head i'm wondering if i've just been so indoctrinated and deluded...that i can't imagine living without considering that there is a god to be worshiped, or that i need to worship god in order to be happy.
i don't know how full-blown atheists or full blown christians do it either way.

One thing is for sure, if there is a god, he certainly would not approve of those who go door to door preaching false prophecy and over the top scriptural interpretations.
