My thought was they are trying to df you so that your wife is free to remarry...could this be the case??? I have personally seen this done so that the married partner that stays in the org can get together with a new love interest.

My act of REBELLION
by Gojira_101 inwell a picture says a thousand words!
i had a tattoo done today.. it was actually interesting because as i was chit chatting with the tattoo artist, she asked me if this tattoo symbolized anything....well actually it does i told her.. me: i was a jw and they are strongly against tattoos or anything that is really "normal" for people.. tattoo artist: i know all about jw, my ex-girlfriend's family was all jw, and i remember one time going over to her parents house and her grandma sat us both down and made us read some scriptures from her bible as to why we were going to hell.. me: actually you will due at armageddon, that is the jw thing.. tatt artist: oh right that is what her grandma said.
i forgot about that, you're right.. so then the rest of the conversation was just me telling her it's a cult and i told her never listen to any jw who comes knocking.. something else interesting that happened just before i came on here.

I want us all to take a step back and BREATHE!

I would love to move on and leave the Watchtower and it's distructive influence on my life in the past, as has been suggested. I wish I could, but as long as my daughter, her hubby and my grandson are still under the grip of this dangerous cult, I must keep up to date with everything Watchtower so I can help them if the opportunity arises.
I also wish someone knoweldgable would have helped me see ttatt sooner as my life may be very different now. I feel an obligation to be there to support others who need my encouragement to leave anyway they can. Thanks to JWN, we have a way to do this.
I appreciate what aawa wants to achieve, if we could just get the Society not to hurt people's lives that would be good, but the Watchtower also needs to stop this Armageddon scare tactic that has been going on for over a century and misrepresenting themselves as being the sole channel god uses to communicate with us. The Society will never give up this false claim and there will always be naive and vulnerable people who will believe the nonsense. I think the aawa should add this to the list of objectives they want to achieve.

You have a great family and it sounds like you are in full recovery. It is easier when the whole family leaves, wish everyone could have as easy a transition as your family.

Sic, I feel bad for you. In my little world, my daughter and son in law said if I talk against the Watchtower Society in front of them they will cut me off completely. I had to beg them for this because I was so over zealous in trying to get them to see the truth about the truth they were ready to disown me.
I hope you can write or call your family with a heartfelt plea, to give you the benefit of the doubt. FB is full of horror stories, you can get out of this mess I hope. Some of us ex JWs love our families. This corrupt religion has taken the first 56 yrs of my life, and they are not going to take my relationship with my daughter and grandson. I feel for you and hope for the best for you.
To Simon and Cedars, I respect you both. This is a sticky mess and it is going to be hard to patch things up because emotions are all running high and people are hurt and upset, some for very good reason. I am sure no evil intent was in either of you. If you two great men can find a way to fix this it would be great. Can you do it? How can this be fixed?

Rutherford may have been right on one thing.....
by EndofMysteries ini remember seeing a few years ago articles posted about the strange things published that is considered nonsense today.
i remember one was him strongly opposed to anything with aluminum.
it's becoming increasingly mentioned as that being a major link to several autoimmune diseases and alheimers/dementia/etc.

AAWA has caused divisions and has lost the opportunity to be effective
by NoRegrets inhere's the thing,.
the whole aawa idea had noble ideas behind it, but the ship has sailed and the movement needs to go back to the drawing board.

Cedars standing in the organization is his business, not ours. He loves his family, is that a crime? He isnt ready to go public, we have no right to criticise him. That decision is his and does not disqualify him from being president of a corporation that he had the guts to initiate.
I have agreed not to say anything bad about the Watchtower Society within earshot of my daughter in order to keep her in my life and not be shunned. I don't feel like I am compromising anything. I am not letting this cult hurt my family anymore than it already is. I love my daughter and grandson. Saving them from this nightmare of a cult is paramount. I have a better chance staying close rather than making it so she feels she has to completely cut me out of her life to prove her loyalty to God.
We are all in different places here. I look back on who I was when I first joined JWN and I have come a very long way. We all move at our own pace. Let us stop bad mouthing people who have good motives and be supportive. If someone doesn't want to join AAWA, they don't have to, but it seems that all the negativity may discourage others from joining and helping.
We don't know at this time if this new group will be able to do what they have set out to do, but let's not pass judgement too quickly as to how effective they will be. Let things take their natural course. Remember, all that evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing. There is strength in numbers. The Watchtower Society has to go down it simply has to. How are we to do it if we act alone.
Every chance I get, I tell people the truth I have learned about the organisation but a concerted effort will reach even more people and save many more lives, maybe not all, but many more lives.
Just my thoughts on this matter, no offense to anyone intended.
