I agree, if you don't tell her upfront and it is a deal breaker for her, she will be very hurt and angry. She has the right to know who she is falling in love with, does she not?

I have found a girlfriend, but there is something I've been hiding from her
by ronweasley inall is well and good in my life right now :) with one small catch... i have a secret that i have hidden from my girlfriend.. for the first time since coming out of the borg, i have found romance.
i was lucky to meet a girl called romilda (name has been changed), and we get on like a house in fire.
we have been in a relationship for a few days now, but some of my friends have pointed out that i should be honest with her and be straight about my sexuallity.

by Crazyguy inok so if the bible is nothing more then a pagan religious book, then how do all of you that think this, think we got here?

I believed in God up until I was in my late 50's. Now I am an atheist. There is hope for you, too.

Funny WT quote on blood transfusion = murder
by Splash in*** w50 5/15 p. 159 letter ***.
it is freely acknowledged that the fluid from a person of one type of blood may kill a person of another type of blood.
if, now, you donated your blood, and your type of blood killed the person receiving the transfusion, would you be guilty of murder?

My response to any one who asks why I am fading
by Skinnedsheep ini have thought a lot about what to say when i am approached.
it will kill my fade, but oh well.. "after the new light i had to test my faith and i couldn't prove to myself that the slave was limited to the governing body.".
if cornered by an elder...."can you prove to me from the scriptures that matt.

I fear that you will give yourself undue heartache if you take this route.
The elders will question whether you really believe this is gods spirit directed organization.
I would reconsider and go with the "I'm depressed/working too hard/I am not ready to discuss it" route.

JW-land is now bigger than Switzerland!
by slimboyfat ini notice the latest yearbook was making a big think about jws being more populous than the country of switzerland.
jws have overtaken a number of small countries in recent years, such as norway, denmark, israel, el salvador, finland, georgia, hong kong and new zealand.
they will be overtaking places like austria, portugal, belgium and greece next.

Good points, Billy.
This made me think of an observation I made while still in. The new ones are all very vulnerable people. Most of them had mental or physical problems. We didn't see any college professors, doctors, lawyers, etc. coming in, even though our hall was located in a highly educated urban community with a big ten school right in the territory.

Should you stay or should you go? Honey, that is a no brainier. That ship isn't "tacking into the wind.". It is adrift and it is unrecoverable.

'We are all scallywags, but God loves us anyway' - My story
by Laika inperhaps the most profound moment of my life occurred when i was sat in a car with my dad.
we were travelling home and having a very jw conversation on the paradise, at least, it was until my dad slipped in one of those rare moments of honesty in the watchtower world:.
that moment really hit me hard.

Laika, if ou look up at the top right of tis post, you will see the number of people who viewed your post. It is over 360. I think folks are enjoying your story.
Your story made me think of something. I never wanted to invite newly interested ones to the book study or Watchtower lesson because I felt they would think badly of us, like we were over the top with the scriptural interpretations. I felt they would think we were crazy, but I didn't think we were crazy at the time. Cognitive disonance anyone?
