i thought it was fitting for me to share my freedom from the witnesses story on independence day weekend.. i dont have any secret info, just experiences that happened to me and started to open my eyes.. i was a third generation, raised in the truth kid who was never supposed to be born, and then never supposed to graduate high school.
ive now been out of high school longer than i was in school.. the beginning of the end started a little less than a decade ago.
i was late 20s at the time.
I always noticed how the pioneers were always stressed out. I wondered what the motivation really was. I think to some they do it because they feel they are expected to pioneer, they really don't want to.

i was unable to insert the pic from the april 15,2013 pg 29 but leaving jesus christ out of the illustration on page 29 is no problem for the governing body as they have now substituted themselves for christ.

my daughter is visiting me from the uk and wants me to take her to the meeting, which i will do, but it's f'in killing me :( sat here crying for an hour, how pathetic is that.
the last time i spoke to her about the j dub she nearly had a breakdown.

The daughter is probably being pressure d from the folks back home to attend the meetings while away. If she misses, she will have to face their scrutiny when she returns. You know there is absolutely no excuse for missing a meeting as long as there is still warmth in the body. My uncle was in a coma and his family hooked him up with headphones connected to the meeting up until the day he died. I am sure the congregation counted him as in attendance.

i was raised in as a jw, and im still in because of my family.
since waking up i found meetings, assemblies and fs stressing and thought writing in here might be therapeutic.

ok. this is something i've wondered about.. people of certain religions tend to use their own holy book as evidence for things in itself.
this seems very circular to me.
using the book to prove the book in my view is pointless.. i am not aware of any of the 'miracles' of the bible or the quran as having any substantial evidence outside of themselves to give credibility to the books themselves.. has anyone come across such evidence?.

july 4th is not only the date americans celebrate independence, but it's the date of thomas jefferson's death.. i think it would be appropriate, not only for this day, but for this forum, to share a couple of thoughts contained in the virginia statute for religious freedom, drafted by thomas jefferson in 1777. this statute serves as a precurser to the first amendment of the u.s. constitution.
first regarding the nature of truth: ".
