by Terry ini have long had an idea that i think is a very powerful tool in reaching even hard-nosed jw's.. .
it would consist only of actual photographic scans of various documents, articles, photographs such as these from marvin shilmer's blog: (see next panel).
there would be no extraneous non-official text whatsoever.. it would be published the size of an old life magazine and sent anonymously to jw's at their homes.. the cover would clearly contain the words: "all contents originally published by watchtower bible &tract society".

Did You Tend To Question The Organization Or Did You Just WANT To Believe?
by minimus ini know some who always questioned the elders, the society, and others because they were typically skeptical.. there are those who just seemed to want to believe whatever they were told.. i was more a skeptic, during my last decade.. .

I was taught from infancy not to question the Society. I blindly believed all the BS they could blow my way. What an idiot I was for all those years.

I didn't go and neither did my sister Grandajones. I stay home and watched Desparate Housewives. Delish! I am so happy I dont have to sit through the most boring over hyped meeting the dubs have.

According to the watchtower, it looks like we have a disability.
by man in black ini have heard quite a bit about the july 15th watchtower magazine on this sie.
so i went and downloaded it and read several of the articles.. page 16 paragraph 6 states : "well, apostates are mentally diseased,and they seek to infect others with their disloyal teachings".
how horrible, they seem to know sooo much about menal health !.

The governing body are the true apostates. They change the doctrine, adjust viewpoint and change their interpretation of scripture all the time. It's ok for them, not for us. The Society has reversed their teachings and gone back and forth. That's apostacy.

It takes all kinds of tactics to reach people. Whatever you feel you need to do to help others excape the cult is fine with me. I would never picket the meetings out of respect for my family who still attend. They have all had a thorough explanation of my views, and I feel they are now part of the conscious class now. It will be just a matter of time and most people will be leaving in droves.

HOME FROM THE MEH-MORIAL....GETS WORSE EVERY YEAR.....
by Mary inwell, i walked in and got the love-bombing before i even made it past the foyer.
everyone's missed me, everyone's thrilled that i came, blah, blah, blah.
to be fair though, there were a few there that i do miss so it was nice to see them.

Enjoyed your post, Mary. Familiar observations. This is the first year I didn't go. It felt wierd. Last year, there was such a traffic jam in the parking lot of the KH that the JW's were honking their horns and yelling at each other. I knew something was wrong. People aren't dressing up for it like they used to either. No one invited me, not even my mother. Now I know the truth about the truth. Thank you all for helping me.
