Michael Jackson's kids decide no more going door-to-door
by Gopher inthis article made my day.
it looks like paris jackson and her brother prince michael have told katherine they simply aren't interested in peddling jw stuff from door-to-door any more.
i'm glad they are becoming their own people and emerging from their grandmother's control.. http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2013/05/paris-jackson-prince-michael-jackson-jehovas-witness/.

Heartwarming JW Facebook Comment
by exwhyzee inthis urban legend/anecdote was on the facebook page of a jw who is a facebook friend of mine.
it's kind of long but tell us what you think....it was all i could do to stop myself from making a snarky comment.
a young couple very much wanted to have a family, but his wife could not conceive, so they decided to adopt a baby.

by AggieNostic inbackground: my wife and i are inactive, we stopped attending in 2005. raised as jws, were pioneers, i was elder etc... .

outsmartthesystem: Loved the way you articulated your thoughts. Right on.
Aggienostic: Good point another poster had about this being your wife's mother and you should proceed however she feels comfortable.
I wouldn't respond too soon or in anger. I would tell her that once you all "catch your breath" after reading her letter, you will respond. Let her know that nothing she would do would ever make you decide to shun her and that you are hurt by her letter. Tell her that you will have to wait till the hurt dies down a little before responding to her letter.
Also, your son is a man now, in college and is free to make his own decisions about who he associates with. You have taught him to love his family and he does. If she has a problem with this she should take it up with your son.

Thoughts on the new AAWA video and other things!!
by iamwhoiam inso does this mean aawa is going to stop shunning?
are they themselves not guilty of shunning those who shun?
shunning can never be stopped no matter how bad you want it to.

I subscribe to jw survey email and just saw the video that they posted on YouTube. I was impressed. The wording is very impressive and whoever made the video did a very impressive job.
We are all in the same boat. We need to mend this rift. United we stand against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. They are the enemy, not our fellow ex jw's. Can we all co exist peacefully? How about supporting one another? Maybe they can't bring change to this evil organization, but they can call attention to the crazy cultish practices.
Simon, Cedars, Lady Lee and the rest are all wonderful people who have helped so many people. Kudos to all of them!

Disgusted with JW Funeral Today!
by time2keepmoving inmy son grew up with one of the young brothers in the kingdom and after graduation both him and my son left the kh.
the young man who left the hall fell into the wrong crowd and i mean a really dangerous crowd and as a result of him getting involved in illegal activity he was murdered.
i really feel for this young man, because he was a decent kid.

How sad. I wonder what this young man's life would have been if he were allowed to grow up in a normal family and not in a cult. It may have been different. He may have been encouraged to play sports or join the school band and would have made better friends. He's gone now.

Ok EVERYONE- want to know who is going to be reading this website and others?
by Newly Enlightened inwhile everyone has been bickering back and forth, i decided to do something positive to move forward.
as most of you know back in jan our family marked us as apostates and started shunning us.. so i wrote to all of my congress-people and told them what is going on with the jw's.
i told them how they are breaking up families, teaching the children intolerance, etc.
