  believe what we will, we still live in the real world and what happens to us proceeds from confrontations unavoidable.. the christian scientist can die from an illness which (to him) does not exist.. the hindu can starve to death in a pasture full of sacred cattle.. the jehovah's witness can sell his house and pioneer full time as he tears the pages from his 1975 calendar in exasperation.. and many is the parent who prays for mercy over the child who dies.. to think or not think is our choice.

  the content of our thought can be real or illusory.

  the progress report comes at the end of each day as we lie in bed and count the costs of our beliefs.. .

  Tonight i had a great talk with my brother

  this story is quite remarkable and no doubt many will appreciate it being told.

  it is telling for several reasons; it highlights the fact that the watchtower organization can expel and marginalize anyone for literally anything if they are crossed.

  they did that to ray franz back in the early 1980s and they recently have done it to these fine folks.. there are some six pieces of documentation in the account and it is in some ways a complicated mess, but it really boils down to a couple of active witnesses informing on someone to the elders.

  why are people so weak in the organization and unable to keep their partner of twenty years free from the accusations of gossip mongering brothers and sister?.

  this thread is dedicated to all the couples who suffered great damage when their immature spouse brought in the elders for every wrongdoing their loved ones might have done.

  the organization twists the reality of the role the elders play in a congregation.

  I know of a similar case. The young bride got beaten and the elders were only interested in what "she" did to make him do it. There was a full scale investigation.

  Www.jwfacts.com has the best page about blood transfusions I have ever seen. It completely blows the Watchtower's scriptural applications out of the water. After reading it, I RAN to my wallet and tore my blood card in tiny, tiny, tiny little pieces.
