Why doesn't our musical taste change?

What kind of music did you enjoy when you were a teenager? Now that you are an adult, has your taste in music changed?

Hi Seeker,
An interesting question. My taste in music has changed greatly from when I was a teenager. I used to be into top 40 and dance music and now I can't stand the stuff put out now. I love classic rock, Folk, Jazz, and some "Alternative" now. Anything that sounds "canned" loses my interest really quick. I do still like the particular songs that I grew up with though, those 80's new wave hits just get me every time. :)

Hello Intro,
I like learning about psychology! I'm not formally studying it, but do purposely observe it in people every day.
As a side point I wanted to tell you that I like your thumbnail picture of Stewie. I watched the Family Guy the other night and cracked up when the dad swallowed the cell phone while he was driving the car. That show has some totally silly moments. I'm glad they brought it back.
Good luck with your studies! I took a semester of Psych 101 and know how interesting the field is from being in the client chair for a couple of years.

I know that Landslide was from the 70s. In my first post I was on two trains of thought, one being how Landslide made me feel, and the other asking if anyone's heard any of her new songs from her new album yet. My crossed thoughts may give off the wrong impression, but now you all know what I was thinkin'. Oh, and I was very much alive in 1976–it was the year after armageddon came.

I think many could qualify for this just based on all the previous reading of the WTBTS literature and books alone! Ha, I remember so much *counsel* against subscribing to worldly magazines and such when there was so much
spiritual food to consume through the society's magazines and books.
At least now I read what I want to. And no more discreetly wrapped magazines coming in the mail.
My guilt quotent went way down when the subs ran out. I wonder if there is any connection.

i didn't know where to post this--it's just a funny experience i had today.. i planted two new rose bushes and went out to put the hose on them this morning before work.

a medium-sized bird swooped down and hit me lightly in the back.

later at noon i went out to change the hose and the bird swooped at me twice--i didn't think i'd make it out of the yard!

LOL, Six.
Speaking of voices... I like her version of Landslide better than Billy Corgan's. Although I do like the Pumpkins in certain moods.
I haven't heard any of her new songs from the new album yet. I hope they're good.

Birthday/baby shower?

yesterday, my six year old figured out that a birthday is a celebration of your day of birth.

i didn't realize she hadn't made that connection yet (she's a bit fuzzy headed sometimes, but cute as can be).

then she states, "so when you get presents for a baby bfore it is born, that is the babies first birthday".

Oh, I just love those QFR's from the 50's! I noticed the words control and regulate quite a few times. Hmmm, it's no wonder why some witnesses are so uptight.
