  Did you go out door to door after you knew you were finished.

  i did for a year.

  i falsified reports, had fake rv's, told groups i was meeting up with other groups and went home just to show a presense.

  i wasn't fading though, because of my situation i had to play like everything was fine.

  i'm on a rock kick again, and i never realized how much i adore songs with crazy horns.

  i've always loved horns in hip-hop, (work by gang-starr is a must hear even for non-rap lovers if you can appreciate horns), but i want to really explore horns as used in other genres, particulary classic rock.

  plus there's a song i heard years ago that i can't seem to locate and can't even recall any of the words or its melody, just that i loved it at the time.

  Sleep Paralysis

  this subject has come up on several different threads, and i thought it might make an interesting topic.

  i've experienced sleep paralysis since i was quite little, but didn't know what it was until i was in my 30's.

  since this is often mistaken for demons or alien visits, it sometimes soothes people to know that others experience it and there is a scientific explanation.. when it happens, it is extremely real.

  The Predictions Thread

  i thought it might be interesting and fun to have a "predictions thread", where we set out our predictions for events to unfold concerning the watch tower society (or jehovah's witnesses in general) over the coming years/decades.. it strikes me that so much has happened in the last ten years, most of which has defied expectations.

  here's just a few of the developments that i can think of:.

  the abolishment of group book studies in favor of a "family worship evening"the creation of a "study edition" watchtowerthe halving of monthly magazine printing commitmentsthe unprecedented closure/merging of branches (16% reduction in branches last year)the menlo park scandal, a body of elders removed for resisting a refurb of their kingdom hallthe lawsuits in victoria, australia - the society taken to court concerning child protection lawscourtroom admissions about the faithful & discreet slave and similarities with the catholic churchincreased hate speech against "mentally diseased" apostatesastonishing lapses of judgment, such as the "selma and steve" study articlethe ditching of gilead as a school for missionariesambitious construction plans for a new world hq (with or without jehovah's blessing!

  I could see them requiring publishers to Auxiliary at least once a year to be considered "In Good Standing," especially with the hour requirement dropping to 30 once per year. This would not necessarily be announced from the platform, but it would be sent via a letter to the BOE from the branch. Then, over the course of time, it would become public knowledge.

  It seems to me there has been a more frequent push to pioneer, or at least Auxiliary in the last couple of years. There have been many more talks on conventions, experiences, and Service Meeting parts guilt tripping people for not simplifying their life to be able to enter full-time work. Eventually, they will start punishing people for it.

  Apostates defeated once again.....

  before the mentally diseased apostates could get their hands on and dissect any information regarding the convention that hadn't been released to regular publishers/elders...the society released the district program on the official site completely and utterly slaying every single demented apostate on the face of the earth.

  now have fun dissecting it kiddos, while we big kids get a taste of solid, spiritual meet this summer.

  continue drowning in misery while god's people go on rejoicing and enduring these last days.
