Today everyone owns a cell phone and I am pretty sure 911 attendants are accustomed to receive and handle multiple calls for the same event...the Boston bombing must have genetated thousands of calls...so what's a few calls from an assembly hall going to change? As many said, every second counts for victims of heart attacks...except maybe for those who have resurrection as a back up...

My parents were proud to relate how well behaved we were at the meetings when we were young. It only took a few good spankings when returning home after a meeting where we had acted like any normal kids who are bored to death. I recall a single father making his early teen son stand in the corner at the front of the hall because he wasn't following in his Bible...imagine the humiliation of being called out in front of the whole congregation. It's no surprise the kid rebelled and eventually went to jail for killing a drug dealer...

Working on a Sunday.
by LouBelle inwell i wouldn't really call it hard work, but i have to come into the office and sit and wait for the phone to ring.
i work every 3rd weekend and it really is unpleasant.
9 hours each day with nothing to do but wait for the phone to ring.

I often travel on Sunday to hold business meetings early Monday. Occasionally I come home on Saturday...makes for short weekends. Still, it's much better than 50 years of service on Saturday and meeting on Sunday...and all the guilt when I took a break from these theocratic activities.
