LITS, I feel exactly the same way when I attempt to read or watch anything from the Watch Tower that my wife leaves in plain sight. I watched part of Cedars review on the 2016 Remain Loyal assembly and the video of the sessions just upsets me especially when I think the woman I love believes it all. I can't watch more than a few minutes before I feel like destroying my mobile device. How can JWs not see that their religion has transformed itself into what we use to condemned like begging for money and broadcasting sermons like televangelists.

by life is to short inok so i was stupid and looked at the text for today, i do not know why i did it.
i lost a couple of brain cells and put myself into an even deeper depression over it.
it was just that my husband had it out and i thought what can it hurt, wondering what they are up to.

Midweek meeting video

australian sister was sexually abused as a child and thought of ending her life at 14 years old, sometime later jw's call on her father who accepts a study and eventually the whole family becomes witnesses, life gets much better as the sister immerses herself in pioneering etc, she still has some dark days but prayer along with going for walks and swimming has helped her cope with bad memories of child abuse, the new system (just around the corner) will completely fix everything......... i'm dumbfounded, the hypocrisy has literally rendered me speechless......comments anybody?.

This video is made to lull the indoctrinated JWs in believing that faith in Jehovah will make everything alright and that if you have been abused and are suffering you need to put more effort to improve your spirituality (not go after the bastard who abused you and the accomplices who are hiding his crime). So stop playing the victim because others have buried it deep...many more than the 1006 reported cases in Australia.

When I first started posting on this site I realized that Grace lived 30 minutes away from me. I made arrangements to meet her but when she found out my wife was still a JW she said it may be best not to meet not to upset my wife. I reassured Grace that my wife doesn't want to know about my non JW friends. We finally met and had coffee. She was warm and kind and I felt like I could just tell her anything. She was the first ex-JW I ever talked to. At one point we knew the same people back in Montreal. When it came time to say goodbye I asked her if I could hug her. For the first time since I had left the JWs I felt I was not alone. Grace I will never forget you. My deepest sympathies to the family and close friends.

Can’t cope with being disfellowshipped…..Need some advice
by xxBettyBoopxx inthis site is great, i have been lurking for a while now.
but i can’t get reinstated and have used some of the advice already given.. i was df’d many months ago and go to all the meetings and do all the preparation for the meetings, but the jc committee keep refusing me.
tomorrow at the clam meeting i am puting yet another letter in and will be called for another dreadful jc meeting.. 1. what can i say to the elders to show that i am truly repentant?.

Is this the last chance for inactive and df'd ones?
by innerpeace inhi all, just wondering if there's anything going around about the elders receiving instruction from the society to give inactive ones and disfellowshipped ones one last chance to come back?
i ask because i have a still in family member that i received a message from, and urging me to go back.
the elders are apparently saying there is no time left.

When I was in I recall that anytime I heard things about the close proximity of the end at a district convention or special assembly I thought "the GB and DFS must know something we don't" and that's what they're trying to tell us...the end must be near. At this year's RC there were a series of videos focusing on the end such as the bunker video and no doubt it has raised a sense of urgency for the believers who are convinced that it's now or never for those sitting outside of the congregation.

In the late 80's our congregation bought land to build a new kingdom hall but the regional building committee had us renovate the old one. After the renovation the hall was still too small and it was decided to build a new one, but not on the land that was purchased and paid for a few years prior. The old hall was adjacent to a medical centre and we shared half of the parking lot. The owners of the medical building offered to buy the hall so they would be the sole owners of all the parking spaces. Instead the congregation sold the hall and parking rights to a Pentecostal church...I guess they were offering more for a hall that was conveniently renovated on our dime just before the sale...WT real estate business at its best.

A couple months back I had JW family visit us. Of course they know that I am inactive and asked if I minded them praying before the meal and I didn't object. Still when my brother thanked God for the food on the table I had to bite my tongue not to tell him that I was the provider of the said food and that if God had anything to do with us being well fed God must also be held accountable for those who are starving. How would God decide who is deserving or not of this basic necessity of life? Iniquity in the world's distribution of wealth is much easier to explain than the partiality of a supposedly loving and just God.
