Sad thing is that the name Benny stuck to me for quite a while...every time I saw the CO he would ask me if I still remembered Benny's page...refering the full page of the script that contained my confession of lewd acts and drug abuse. The brother who played the congregation pusher Buzz in the drama became a CO at a young age and he and his wife had their picture in one of the Watchtower magazine about 5 years ago...

When pre-recorded sound tracts were first used we still had to learn the dialogues from a script and lipsynch every word precisely...but as someone mentionned now they seem to concentrate on over emphasizing gestures since most of the audience can't see the actors mouths clearly especially when they are hidden behindnfake beards. On that subject I remember brothers growing beards to play in the dramas...but that was short-lived.

Another question for those who attended the "Mentally Diseased" Watchtower
by cantleave innugget and i are helping amelia prepare for her statement to the police tomorrow.
one of the possible objections is that the term "mentally diseased" is metaphorical.. when people answered on this paragraph did they say "people who leave are metally diseased" or did they say "they are like mentally diseased" people?.
if they said the former it would indicate that they did not take it metaphorically..

If apostates are mentally diseaded, they shouldn't be held accountable for their actions...they should be treated by a mental health specialist like people suffering from depression or other mental disorders many of which we find in all the congregations. As for me, I used to suffer from depression, but since I am out I no longer feel overly stressed or depressed.

I was in several dramas, mostly in the modern scenes, not the costumed characters except for one occasion when I played a levite priest in the Jeremiah drama. I did a voice on the Joseph dramasound track in a foreign language. I also played Benny in the drama Do not misuse your youth at an international assembly 1969...this was a live modern drama, not a pre-recorded tape. I spent a whole month of my school vacation rehearsing seven days a week until late at night. We didn't even go to the meetings or out in service. In one of the scenes I was confessing taking drugs and jumping around while others were shouting Benny the bunny and ending up mutually masturbating each other...those pages were witheld from the script everyone else were using during rehearsal and I would only practice this scene behind closed doors with the brother (CO) in charge of the drama. Then in the last general rehearsal that scene was included and I had to confess in front of everyone, including some teenage girls. Even though I had never commited such obscene acts I felt humiliated. Then I had to do it again in front of 30,000 people! Because I was a model teen I was often interviewd at CAs...

Does your product contain blood? 1960/70's twottery!!

i remember one zealous brother asking an ice cream vendor if the ice cream contained blood.
the vendor just looked gone out!.

For us it was Dairy Queen ice cream, peperoni pizza, Weston sliced bread, hot dogs unless the saussage was Schneiders....I remember brothers asking about the origin of the meat they were served at our house...like they were afraid we would serve them disaproved food. A few times some were shocked that I ate peperoni pizza and we had to be careful not to eat something that could stumble others....what a bunch of lunatics we were!

Kingdom Hall Observations
by howdidtihappen ini've done a thread on this before, but i've made new observations at the hall (trust me, i just go now for entertainment value and baptism has been put off until forever) thus have new questions i want to ask the "great crowd" here.
i might be imagining it because i've become so skeptical of jehovah's witness behavior, but when i ask them certain things, they shut down as if i'm heavily criticizing or they imply that only "spiritually up building things" should be spoken about.
it's bizarre.

Pet peeve for attendants...people filling the room from the back...It gives them authority to tell you to move. I conduct seminars across the land and people don't like to sit in the front row - it's that simple. The dirty looks for the short skirt...it's not only the skirt...it could be the boots, the makeup, the bow tie, the sideburns, to many earings, a tatoo perhaps...anything outside their norm...they judge everything and discuss in private how they can approach you to set you straight.

The article is addressed to High School kids and the academic goals are very vague. No mention of college or professional careers...only enough skills to be able to function in society. What about exploiting your full potential and contributing to making our society better? The message is also different than what you would hear elders would say to discourage someone who is contemplating college or university...

I know why most preach...to be able to put a number on a service report. Remove this riquirement on watch what will happen. In our area pioneers who go door to doors during the week can spend a whole morning without having one person at home...but they still continue...knowing that's what Jehovah WTS wants...

If you had the right heart condition or if you are not incorrigible you would be a JW! Jehovah reads hearts and the angels lead the preaching work so we can find HHH people and bring them in the "TRUTH".
