  i was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.

  well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.

  Do any ex JW' s/ God believer's, Agnostics or Atheists believe in Karma? And WHY?

  just reading a thread and the mention of karma popped up.

  ( it happens, lol).

  a lot of people believe in karma: what goes around comes around.. some months ago, while on another exjw site, karma was mentioned and i thought it a little odd, as they are atheist.

  Karma in hinduism is cause and effect.

  In buddhism karma means cyclical thought pattern.

  It's a kind of vice of mind, you use meditation to be aware of some kind of recurrent thoughts and feelings that come to your mind without your conscious will. The karma can be easily spotted in situations when you react in an automatic way.

  The objective of buddhism is to train you mind until you have full control upon your karma. Because the natural manifestation of karma is one of the sources of suffering or insatisfaction.

  I do not believe in this, I just accept as an ancient decent psychological explanation.

  Atheists, here is a 'balls' question ---even for all---

  it is very difficult to knock a ball into a hole (like golf), throw it into a receiver's hands (american football) intercept it and knock it over the fence (american cricket).

  or to put a sattelite at the right time at the right speed in the right direction in the right place to have it orbit another body, so :.

  what ingenious natural & process is it, than can get 9+ zillions bodies to get into the right orbit simultaniously or sequentially and have them remain there for billions of years?

  The OP is a shameless "sentient puddle" fallacy.

  Imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, 'This is an interesting world I find myself in, an interesting hole I find myself in, fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact, it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!' This is such a powerful idea that as the Sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, it's still frantically hanging on to the notion that everything's going to be all right, because this World was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise.

  and taking a towel, he wrapped it around his waist.. after that he put water into a basin and started to wash the feet of the disciples and to dry them off with the towel that was wrapped around him.. .

  the wt "translates" himatia as outer garments but some other translations says just clothes.. if he were wearing just an underwear, why wrap a towel around the waist?

  i was always told that god did loads of stuff that was evidence of his existance.

  ususally very brutal things too (b#st@rd).. jesus walked on water and raised the dead we are told.. it seems to me also that the older the story, the more exaggerated it is...y'know...talking snake......global flood.. there are those that claim god speaks to them now and they alone 'know' it.

  (cuckoo!!!).
