I went to the cinema to see 2001 when it first came out about 1969. I thought it was epic and mysterious.

Easy Rider bored me to tears. I think partially because I'm not interested in America or it's culture. Most of my choices are therefore more Brit based because I relate to that.

One of the big Apostate "lies" is that Jehovah's Witnesses don't help the poor.

Let's put it this way, when I started attending a Baptist church (it felt like home), I joined the 'soup kitchen'. This meant that we prepared food and drinks and took them to a car park in a van.I felt like I was actually doing the 'Lord's work' because I was in that mindset.

My then JW wife, who left because I became a Baptist, said, "Those people don't need food, they need the Watchtower and Awake!"

Jaw dropping comment. It shows the mentality of not wanting to give practical help. I was shocked by her response. Oh, well, she married another Jobot now, so good riddance to bad rubbish.

Demons. Afraid or not?

when i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.

a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.

yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

I wouldn't bother for a different reason. Mainly, because it's all make belief and 'woo'.

I'll watch horror films but feel I've been cheated of a good plot twist when everyone dies in the end.

as far as i can understand is that male-female friendship is a no go for jws.

but how do things work if you want to date someone of the other sex if you can’t have close friendship with?.

Thanks. That's sweet of you. I'm beyond the bloom of youth by many a year. Not a lot to attract anyone apart from my stunning and intellectual mind...then, knowing my luck, it'd be a zombie wanting to eat it.

as far as i can understand is that male-female friendship is a no go for jws.

but how do things work if you want to date someone of the other sex if you can’t have close friendship with?.

The filthy, disgusting Governing body (p1ss be upon then), hate natural sexual relations as evidenced by their allowing and covering up sexual predators...using 'contributions(tm)' to pay for law suits.

It was always difficult as a Jobot to meet and date. It was all kept so twee and childish.

Chat to a Jobot of the opposite sex and they expect you to get married soon. Pathetic!

Anyway, I'm a single old man now. No relationship at 63. Perhaps I should go back to the Jobots to find a partner
