  yeah, so shamima begum's challenge has failed.. the ruling body has declared that the home secretary's stripping of her citizenship in 2016 was lawful.. there are some people who say she was somehow 'groomed' but this is complete bullshit.

  i am now in my early 60’s.

  i was baptized in 1980. i served as a ministerial servant and an elder.

  i gave my all for many years but about eight years ago i started to question many things.

  Newy - It is with profound sadness that I look back on my life as a Witness and now I am basically a non-entity
  This is how I have felt.

  My story in a nutshell. Born into the cult. Pioneered. Minny man then Elder. As an Elder I realised it was just a cult. A dangerous one at that. Because I didn't want to be a Jobot anymore, my wife left me with 2 of the 3 kids. 1 was a minor. It was hell!

  She's now re-married to another Jobot....not sure if it was 'approved(tm)' by the cult because there was hardly anyone at the wedding, I'm told.

  Here I am, a non entity. Nearly retired. Single. No prospect of it changing at my age because I basically don't trust relationships anymore.

  So. What do I do?

  I go to work full time. I play in a fairly successful local band where the Covid over-reaction by Government thing has destroyed many venues where we used to play. I am in a local Viking re-enactment group.

  I have lovely grandkids. 3 speak Polish as a 2nd language. Another one on the way.

  Somehow, none of this seems enough.

  It is with profound sadness that I look back on my life as a Witness and now I am basically a non-entity.................like you said.

  I'm very sad to hear about this. A life lost. Someone who had the best of intentions but is now gone.

  I thought I'd heard of another story like this too.

  Of course, the Watchtower Corporation(tm) will not care one iota. As long as TOMO3rd can drink his whiskey and stagger around all day slurring his words in a drunken stupor, the Corporation(tm) won't care.

  Threats in field service?

  in reading about the 54 year old man being shot, i was wondering if any of you were ever shot at, or threatened with a gun.. i was in a car group where a woman came out waving around, telling us to get off her land.

  in another situation a man told the car group to turn and leave or he was calling the cops.

  Blimey, no. Not on your nelly. Here in the UK the gun laws are very different, especially after the 'Dunblane Massachre'.

  whats the difference between Jw's and Zombies?

  Wedding Anniversary #62

  hi friends , i thought i would just let you know it`s my wife and i, 62nd wedding anniversary today.. not that we were able to celebrate much as my wife wasn`t up to it today .. however i did manage to give her a couple of champers at home ,while i had a couple o ales with friends down at the club and managed to put on lotto for tonite and a couple of keno`s from the club ,you never know the god`s might smile upon us for doing something right after all these years.?.

  assuming that you don't dismiss genesis outright as a collection of myths, i was musing about the actions of god as recorded in genesis 11:1-9 regarding the building of the tower of babel.. this origin story for the multiplicity of languages in the earth has god getting annoyed with humans for staying in one location instead of filling out across the whole world.. yahweh could have stopped the tower being built by collapsing it by means of an earthquake, sinking sand, or an extreme gale.

  even using an angel to kick it over when everyone was tucked up in bed asleep.

  but no, instead he muddles up the vocabulary and grammar and made brand new languages creating division and confusion.. what's more he didn't scatter them and send them off in mixed multicultural groups, but instead he lets them wander off in tribes and family groups.
