Looking to learn

sorry if i shouldn't be posting this, i am not jw however i have had past experiences with jw's and was learning a lot about the religion, in hopes to convert one day.

it all ended suddenly and i guess i feel guilty for not learning more, i would get scared at the thought of bible studies and discussions in case it brought back memories.

i was looking for any advice on the best ways i can find out more please.

what was your kingdom hall like when it came to overweight witnesses?

i remember counseling some people on their drinking habits.

a few snickered that if we were going to counsel them because they have had way too many at a wedding reception, what about very overweight witnesses that have a lifestyle of overindulgence?

One Elder did ask about it but was swiftly told to shut his cakehole.

One thing is for sure; since the Rona and lockdowns, I no longer trust any stats or figures we're told. It's like reading the Watchtower all over again. Makes me puke!

in one form or another i've been a member of this site for almost 10 years.

in the past this was a great place for debate, news and support for ex jws.

i logged on several times a day and posted several times a week.

i have to say it, but i do.. i have a sneaking suspicion that because i was raised in the dangerous jehovah borgness cult, that this is the reason.

i was told if god didn't watch me masturbating or smoking, then he'd let me live forever in perfect conditions.. i left the borg and as a result my jw wife left me and re-married another gung ho jobo.

Stan the man - Thanks for the offer but I don't need anyone anymore. No other person on the planet can validate me. Co-dependency isn't for me, I have to say. Maybe it never was, but due to the way society is, I thought I had to conform to having a life partner. As for soul mate, give me a break!
