Reevy - TBK- have you ever read it all the way thru?
If you mean the Bible; yes, several times. It's rubbish.
...why have you left the god and his son?.

Blimey O'Riley. This thread was like pulling teeth.
I ask a question and all I get in return is a copy paste scripture.
I've read the Bible many times over along with other 'holy' works. That's why I can't believe on faith what's in them.
riblah - I'm new here, but punkofnice is one of my favorites!
Thanks. Welcome to the family of friends and assorted nuts.
Reevy. I think you just made a bit of a blunder with Simon.
I am over 70
I'm not far behind you.
Reevy - Think they would make such references if it was a MYTH?
I believe it's quite possible. After all, look at all those that believe in the things in the Quran, like Muhammed going to heaven on a winged horse.
I had a bloke at work tell me that Hinduism was truth because of the 'evidence' which he didn't provide.
I just think we need to be cautious about what we are told from any source. That seems reasonable to me.
simple.. you cannot find the word there (or many of the comical variations such as: a triune godhead, the triunity, co-equal god beings, godhead, a hypostaic union, divine essences, divine natures, a god-the-son, a god-the-ghost, hypostasis, homoousios, perichoresis , a godman, omnipresence, incarnation, a god who is a sacred mystery, a god 'in three persons', dual natures, a reincarnate god, a first person of the trinity, a second person of the trinity, a third person of the trinity, godness, a tri-unity or a multipersonal god), or any of the so-mentioned aspects.. jehovah identified himself (not 'themselves") as on one god, as did jesus and all the prophets.
.
so, come, let us know of the simple twists of the clergy!.
Vandy. How are you old friend?
Good to know that you know you have eternal life Revealed.
So. when I was a Christian, I became born again. Then as life continued, I became extremely sceptical to a degree that I now believe in nothing.
From a Christian standpoint, is my Everlasting life still guaranteed?
I'm curious but not religious.
Not trying to divert the thread, just interested in the common view.
I also didn't believe in a Trinity per-se, but that there was a unity in 3.
Do your own research.
I have. You're just not willing to discuss it in case you have to admit an uncomfortable truth.
You won't believe it from ME.I'm not asking to believe you. Just proven evidence that is from an extraneous source.
Your responses make me feel that you're quite a young person. Is this true?
BBK
What's one of those? Is it an American thing?
But there IS evidence outside the Bible that he existed.
Ok. Let's hear it.
If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.
