List of Things We Were NOT Allowed To Do as JW's

here's my list of jw no-no's as i recall: .

1. no giving or accepting valentine candy for students.

2. no going to home coming football games.

That's quite a comprehensive list you have there Breezy one.

I think it's be easier to flip it around for a shorter list.

A list of things Jobots ARE allowed to do.

1. Give money and assets to the Governing Body (Pee be upon them)

2. Shun Christ at the 'memorial(tm)'

3. Waste time with Jobot 'busy work' and meetings(tm)

4. Look down haughtily on everyone apart from the Elders upward in the pecking order.

5. Believe everything the WBT$ says even if it's against all logic and evidence.

Summary. Not to enjoy anything else ever again.

i think it's been a while since this was asked.

tell us your hobbies, interests, pastimes, whatever you find enjoyable as a diversion from work and school.

i am lucky enough to live in a small cabin on a lake, i enjoy rowing my old boat and fishing, i play with car projects, and we travel as much as we can.

I started collecting the Amazong Spider-man comics from the 60's and 70's.

I'm missing a few here and there because of cost....but hey ho, I like the collection I have. All bagged and boarded.

i am lucky enough to live in a small cabin on a lake, i enjoy rowing my old boat and fishing, i play with car projects, and we travel as much as we can.

Peaceful - Viking reinactor??? I've been to a renaissance fair.....and I wore a Flavor Flav costume at Halloween once. That count?

It all counts.

If it's fun, it's worth it. As long as we don't really slay anyone.

Vandy - Is the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses committing Blasphemy?

Yes. When I was coming out of the JW's and still believed in Bible things and went to Church, I thought that the Governing Body(Pee be upon them), had become 'apostates(tm)' like the kings of Israel. Started off faithful but then went lairy.

I speak as a non believer-cum-agnostic now so any 'reasoning' on scriptures is kind of lost on me. No offence meant.

Facepalm. What a cop our.! But you did say 'specifically'. If it 'refers', where does it 'specifically refer'?

And there are good reasons to believe WT interpretation of the verse.

No there aren't. I bet you can't prove this in any way whatsoever without mental gymnastics and out of context scriptures.

FM - the scripture specifically refers to a group of people with a divine assignment on earth at the time of the end.

Where is that specifically stated?

admittedly it 90% crap over there but still they are up to 80k in subscribers.

over here it's the same half dozen or so that posts something, including myself.

why is that?.

I found this site when I was in the YUKU forum that no longer exists. This site was seen in poor light because of how some users are rude and argumentative.

I now laugh in the face of down votes and caustic rudeness. But it wasn't pleasant at first.

I play Bass guitar in a local rock band.

I recently joined a Viking re-enactment battle group.

Family trees interest me.

Other than that I hate everything.

God Has Only One Visible Organization on Earth!

why is it important to some that god only have one visible organization to represent him on earth?

why is it important to jehovah's witnesses that people recognize their organization as such?

what makes a witness more moral or righteous or save-worthy if they accept that it is his one and only organization?
