Terrible Analogy at a Convention

i'd love to know what you guys think of this.

brother jackson (from the governing body) had this "neat" analogy at the very end of the convention.

he said; "what if you were watching a football game on tv, and it was the trojans against the fighting irish, and it's been a good game.

Br other Jackson (from the Governing Body) had this "neat" analogy at the very end of the convention. He said; "What if you were watching a football game on tv, and it was the Trojans against the fighting Irish, and it's been a good game. It's coming down to the last seconds and one of the Trojans get the ball and he starts running and you're glued to the tv - just waiting to see what will happen. He makes it to the 30 then the 20 then the 10 yard line and he's at the one inch line and he stops. The guy with the ball stops and starts looking around for the game clock. He yells, 'how much time do i have left?'

You're staring at the TV in disbelief !!!

What do you do?

You yell at the tv - 'IDIOT!!! RUN!!! RUN YOU IDIOT!!!' That's where you are. This system is dying. W e're the event. T he universe is watching. W e're at the one inch line and some are stopping and looking around and wondering where we are in the stream of time.

Soooo, yeah... pretty ridiculous eh? How many fallacies of logic do you think he broke? (aside from comparing JWs to the Trojans lol)

Nation wide protest on the shunning policies of The Watchtower Organization!

on jan 21 and 22, 2011 a nation wide protest is being organized to alert people on the discrimination that is blatantly taking place in the watchtower organization.

the public needs to know about the disfellowshipping and subsequent shunning that is going on in the jehovah's witness cult.

this flagrantly heinous,wicked practice must be stopped.

This is awesome, I will look forward to it. The more people that become informed of what is really going on in the Society, the more action there will be to educate jw children in schools. Its sad how little, aside from a few facts and jokes, people actually know about the organization.

The society is vigorous (as always) in their reign on witnesses, so there is little hope that this protest will reach, (as in convince, I'm sure this will appear as a lie or satans work in later watchtowers to induce even more contempt for 'worldly' people) jws. But I do think that with information so readily available, we can save future generations from the horror this cult has brought to so many.
