NZ Mine Tragedy - Aussie miner was a JW
by 3Mozzies inhttp://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/aussie-miner-william-joynson-big-strong-but-trapped-in-dark/story-e6freuy9-1225958821843.
after a year in new zealand, australian miner william joynson and his wife kim had begun packing their belongings, ready to return to queensland.. the photo albums and other personal items had already been shipped across the tasman.. after sons jonathon, 13, and benjamin, 10, finished the school year, the family planned to leave their modest cottage and move home early in the new year.. the joynsons had shaped a life in new zealand, centred around the pike river coal mine and the jehovah's witness community, of which they were active members.. friends james ashby and rodger griffiths described the man they know as willy joynson as a "typical australian".. .

Since the numbers of those partaking are increasing......
by justmom in........and not decreasing, and 1935 hasn't shut up the heavenly hope..... then maybe folks are hearing the invitation at john 6:35-59....... "i am the bread of life!
he that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood (communion) has everlasting life, and a resurrection.
unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves.

Just mom
You are probably right. I do not see how can anyone who believes to follow Christ and wish to value his sacrifice REFUSE to partake on the emblems of his blod and flesh's sacrifice.
The CO of my ex congregation said t me that he believed that the numbers of partakers rose because people like to do as they used to do in their ordinary or former church.
Clearly, in John 6:35-39 Jesus did not say that there was a second category or non-partakers that would anyway have their sins forgiven and live in paradise on earth. He made it pretty plain. You need to drink his blood and eat his flesh to gain everlasting life. I raised this issue to an old family friend and she just went on and on about how it was just his disciples at the last supper. However he had made this invitation BEFORE the last supper, to EVERYONE.
That is why I have been thinking these days about how could we, ex jw and other people who have realized how deceptive the WTS is, make an international effort to COMBAT THE INCREASED PREACHING encouraged weeks before the memorial to INVITE NON JWs to the MEMORIAL.
The WTS loves to count all the memorial visitors as prospective bible studies and future JWs. So if we can cut down the number of visitors we reduce the prospects of WTS of gaining more victims, and save their families from the divisions caused by this religion. THe WTS could not boast as much in their Yearbooks on the attendance to the this mostly NON-PARTAKING MEMORIAL.
For example, we could have a facebook group THIS EASTER COMMEMORATE JESUS'S DEATH AND PARTAKE FROM HIS SACRIFICE: ANY CHRISTIAN CHURCH WOULD DO. JUST DON'T GO THE JEHOVAH's WITNESSES MEMORIAL BECAUSE THEY EXPECT YOU NOT TO PARTAKE (You will only be warming the seat and not accepting the symbols of his sacrifice).
The problem with facebook is of course that you are anonymous and most JWs and ex JWs cannot come out like that without getting further shunning.
Anyone has any suggestions about how to do this? Any better ideas?

Discovering Mortality
by pirata inmost of my life i never gave thought to my mortality because i'd be petting a lion forever in the new system.
my hobby could wait because i would have time to pursue it as a perfect being in a paradise.
dying was not a huge deal because i'd wake up in a paradise earth.. then i woke up.

Ok I agree with Elderellite's quotes. If you cheapen life, frgetiing death and living like if everything around you, including the people in your life, will always be there, you are bound for disaster, because noeffort is made to enrich the experience or cut out the unnecessary and hurtful. So its good to keep death in mind and just how lucky we are to be alive.
What I meant above is that its a waste of time to WORRY about BEING dead.
I cannot rule out some kind of afterlife, maybe even heavenly one, as as much i try to stick to science and the material world, there are always credible stories of the supernatural. My dad had one, he saw his mother's ghost dissaproving of a girlfriend. My grandad saw his friend's ghost say good bye to him the night his friend passed away.. I do not think that they would have made this up. of course the JW theory would say is demons, but even that is supernatural anyway. There are so many dimensions and things we might not know or do not comprehend. For example, out there there is anti-matter, with atoms with positive electrons and negative protons. Why that?? Who knows. Or just think that matter as we know it is mostly empty. We and all objects are mostly empty space, as each atom is practically empty; just a huge field with just these basketballs on orbits. ...we have much to understand yet.

Its a miracle that we are here to start with.
When we will be dead we won't even have to think about being dead, so why waste your live-time thinking about being dead? The best you can get out of that is maybe putting a little more effort into doing the things that you really want to do- your bucket list.
Everything has a cycle, as you have noticed, so why should we be so precious that only we get an eternal life ion earth as depicted by WTS, while the rest of nature, and even stars die?
we need to make way for whoever is coming next. In the meantime, just try to enjoy life. It is painful though that you seem to be trapped in the borg maybe to avoid losing your family. Maybe use your insider status to helps some sheep think! Or maybe its too easy to get caught? All the best

Thanks cameo-d for adding the video, I still don't know how to do that! Many witnesses think that such a bro should have lost some privileges by giving such a talk! Its in the comments for it at YouTube. Still none of the content of he video is against WT doctrine.

Don't know how to leave: FADE or DA letter?
by porfiada inhi folks.
i wondered if any of you ex elders can help me to figure out what my status is and therefore how to log out from the borg.
i was baptized at 15, faded at 18. never heard anything from the elders after their first visit, which wasn't about a big deal and had no conclusion.

@ Maksym
Thanks for signing up especially for giving me feedback. And welcome! I totally agree with you hey these men (the WTS) have no business putting people in pigeon holes , which stigmatize them into categories such as DF, DA, inactive, etc. So I am following your advice, won't give them the pleasure of putting me into one and will just remain disappeared. When I asked FADE or DA i guess I meant disappear or DA, as or course i won't go to the trouble of fading when I have no family in the borg any more to keep in good terms with. So thanks again. And al the best with your Christian live!
