Well, you know Rub, Joe Hoover only gives us what information we need or we "can handle" at any given time. He reveals such things in a timely manner to "his servants the prophets". Proper food at the proper time. Of course, his "servants" are imperfect men an they can make mistakes. (As we well know!)

JW (and other religions) excuses for messing up when trying to understand prophesies.
by RubaDub inthis is not a jw-bashing thing, but it always seemed odd to me that the "excuse" when things go wrong is that "we have to wait and see how the prophesy is fulfilled" or some other wording.. my question has always been, then what is the purpose of the prophesy if you don't understand it until after the fact?
isn't that like having a weather forecast but being told that we don't really know what the weather will be until the next day?
isn't that the purpose of prophesy?.

I think losing 50% of what you've earned to taxes does not need to be debated as to whether that is "over taxation". If you must work for "free" to qualify as slavery, then I guess 50% is only half-slavery. So when is it enough (or too much)? 70% 80% 90% ? AOC proposes 70% for the super-wealthy (over $10 million) in her Green New Deal.

Supreme Court appointments are at risk. RBG is on life support (not literally folks, just a hyperbole). Stephen Breyer is 81, but doesn't seem to have failing health. (But I do like his ice cream!)
Even if another liberal justice is appointed to replace RBG, the court will still lean to a 5-4 conservative bias. But only if Roberts can be depended on to side with the conservatives. He's been wishy-washy lately.
Will the 2nd Amendment be at risk if Trump does not have the opportunity to appoint the replacement for RBG?

I didn't say that. You did.
Employment is what gives a person empowerment and freedom to pursue whatever they want to pursue. Frankly, I could not find any employer who would pay me what I thought I was worth (normal cost of labor is ridiculous?) so I became my own boss. I went into business. And it become a very (at least fairly -- that's all relative) successful business.
No where else but the USA could an under-educated grandson of immigrants become...............let's just say "upper middle class". It pisses me off when family members say we've been "lucky". Bullshit. The harder we worked, the luckier we became!
