Received a letter from a JW today.

a good twenty minute car drive away .a minor point i know.
it goes on about how she is concerned about the effects that current events are having on the welfare of the community and the corona-virus has prevented her from discussing the issues personally with me.. she then goes on to state and quote jeremiah 29:11 and then goes on to say "for more information about this promise and other questions like :.

Years later, married to a JW and I see my wife doing the same thing. I now realize it is about wasting time. You count the time writing the letters instead of using a photocopier
She's obviously been taught the wrong way to do this. You take ONE HOUR writing a letter. Copy it 50 or 60 times. Mail them all out and you have your pioneer hours this month.

I think the 8 (or is it 9 now?) Grand Dukes (GB) are totally fucking delusional. They actually believe that they were hand chosen by Almighty God to be of the select few (in this --overlappy-- generation) to go to Heaven and be with God. How much more narcissistic can one be?

So, frankly, I think they have just "circled the wagons" and are holding off "til the end". But just like Boozing Joe, and Do Nothing Nathan, and Crazy Freddy, they will just pass off into the sunset (and die) after one Bandaid fix after another (ie, the overlapping generation Bandaid). Death will be a release -- a blessing. It would also be a disappointment but they won't even know that they never made it to Heaven.

I find it interesting that in the Reasoning From The Scriptures book, under the subject of False Prophets, the WTS does not even include Deut 18:20-22. This scripture speaks directly of False Prophets. And it is condemning to the WTS/JW's. Very interesting that they just omit this scripture completely.

It could well be that the VP pick might be important here, because Joe is almost 80.
Biden's VP will be the next US President sometime before his term ends. Probably sooner than later if it's true that Biden is "slipping" fast. If Biden refuses a debate with Trump, that just indicates the man is mentally "gone". When you look down the list of the black, females on his "short list", NONE OF THEM have much experience at governing. They were all elected because they were black by a voting block of mostly black voters. That's not a very good reason to elect a candidate, nor is it a very good reason to select a VP.
Why is no one complaining that he is discriminating against all the more qualified white males?

This is an 20 minute "infomercial" for JW's. There must be some JW connection at the station. In our Metro area there was a JW who worked for one of the TV stations and they would run PSA's (Public Service Announcements), basically a 60-second commercial, about the upcoming District Conventions when they were being held here.
Anyone who lives in the local area of this station should deluge them with calls and letters requesting they schedule another interview with the WT rep and discuss the recent CSA awards that are in the news. I think we all know what they'll get from that request. A letter that says "Jah's Org abhors Child Abuse."
And yes, it's going "viral" in JW Land. My elderly mother was all "GAGA" about it yesterday. However she did mention that he claimed that JW's did not call with the motive of "converting" people. (LIARS!) She too thought that was an outright lie. (I didn't watch it in it's entirety so I don't know if that comment was said here.)
