I do think this is an uphill battle for Trump and Company. Because they are fighting hardball now against the swamp. I think the four years of this presidency have just touched the surface of how deep and how muddy that the swamp really is.

I think the Biden profiteering is just the tip of the iceberg of what goes on amongst our congressmen and senators and they are all in fear of being exposed. Better to bury this guy in conspiracy theories and inquisitions a.m. alleged scandals before he pulls the curtain back on all the crooks there are in the swamp.

When will the JW Org count for nothing on the World Scene ?

i was wondering if any of you experts on statistics and trends etc could answer the question above ?.

if you know how to do it, if you can extrapolate a true figure for the falling membership in areas that are internet connected, then we can say " by the year **** they will be so small in the internet regions that they will be on the brink".. i have put this topic in " scandals and cover ups" because it seems to me they are trying to hide how many are leaving, and how few are joining in the areas mentioned.

the non internet places will not contribute much in the way of $$$, so however the figures change for them, up, or down, makes little difference.

1) JW' (because of their inflated opinion of themselves)

2) Ex-JW's (because of the damage they have suffered ie, shunning, etc)

3) Child abu$e Attorney$ (because it's all about the money!)

kim and mikey alluded to this and i have been wondering why they are planning on spending hundreds of millions on a new movie studio in n.y. and also in australia just for the benefit of the few million jdub's.

well here's the answer, they are going to make money off the royalties from their music and video content selling to other church groups.

Trade union membership

hi, i am currently supporting a jw colleague with some work problems and have advised them to join our trade union for official support.

am i right that jehovah 's witnesses can't vote or contribute to political funds, but they can join trade unions?

why would anyone want to join a trade union in the US after all

Because typically unions negotiate significantly better wages for the employees as well as fringe benefits, ie, health insurance (usually for the worker's entire family) and a pension plan. REMEMBER -- here in the USA we DO NOT have socialized health insurance. This is a BIG fringe benefit to employees.

PS--Something often not considered is that the health insurance premiums that the biz pays are NOT taxable to the employee. If they just received the actual cash and had to purchase their own insurance, the money would be taxes and they'd only receive 60-80% of it.

Compare wages in non-union (Right to Work States) vs union wages for the same trades. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

HOURLY RATE/TRADE (Actual pay scale is approx $25/hr less for cost of fringe benefits)

Yes. Had this come up in what became a congregational matter between biz owner and his JW employees who decided to join a labor union. The owner tried to get the elders to beat the employees up with a WT article from the 1950's that said trade unions were tools of the devil. WT Service Desk said "things change" so never rely on old articles from 50 years ago.

Personal decision.
