Sad, isn't it?
Can you imagine Russell, Rutherford, or Franz backpedaling like that?
Hell no! They'd have stepped right up and said "you're damn right we are!"
when confronted with angus stewart’s blunt question “do you see yourselves as jehovah god’s spokespeople on earth?” the answer that came from jackson’s lips was astounding.. “that i think would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the only spokesperson that god is using.
the scriptures clearly show that someone can act in harmony with god’s spirit in giving comfort and help in the congregations, but if i could just clarify a little, going back to matthew 24, clearly, jesus said that in the last days ‐ and jehovah’s witnesses believe these are the last days ‐ there would be a slave, a group of persons who would have responsibility to care for the spiritual food.
so inthat respect, we view ourselves as trying to fulfill that role.”.

hello all interested persons,.
whilst driving to work this morning listening to the radio, my ears pricked when the presenter began talking about jws.
it was on a programme which airs between 8.00 and 8.30 entitled am, and broadcast on the abc national radio.
If WTS loses its charitable status in Australia, I suspect the bOrg will set up an online donation link that sends funds directly to New Zealand, UK, or the USA.
okay, i haven't been to a meeting in over 17 years and i don't live anywhere near the place i grew up.
i have had minimal contact with my jw family, essentially just occasional phone conversations.
i think they could easily guess that i'm inactive but they pretend not to know and they've never shunned me.
I guess if you really start some very public activism, or are helping JW's to wake up, as I do, then they may target you. ~ Phizzy
I think you are right on point! If you are "laying low" and not being a shit-disturber, they will likely just leave you alone. If you are an "apostate activist" then ya better look out. Watch your back.
As far as any legal action here in the USA-- no court is likely to take on a case that would conflict with religious freedom. It is interesting though that the WT Service Dept treads more carefully if the person is deemed to be financially able to carry out any "legal threats".
Another great video from this guy again today.
I've read where Trump supposedly is talking about 2024 so perhaps he's really already conceded in his own mind knowing that he's pissing int he wind trying to overturn it all. IMO there is plenty of circumstantial evidence and personal testimony to declare this election a total fraud. But as long as there "are 2 chickens in every pot and 2 cars in every garage", no one is willing to start a civil war. Hopefully the Georgia runoff elections will stop the Democrat takeover.

Going back 17 years, Pub Cards were only to be kept on file for 8 years. So if you were inactive over 8 years, there was no longer a record of you in the Cong.
That changed some years ago and your final Pub Card is retained indefinitely. No doubt so they can "go after you" if they deem it necessary.
Likely at this point in time, they would consider you to be "a man of the world" (someone never baptized) unless you stir the shit and cause problems.
so i was fortunate enough to have a wife that listened and saw what i was saying was true and that the cult is bs.
but i wonder how bad it is in a relationship that one goes out of the cult and the other stays in.
i can see that being a real issue for a marriage.
My wife eventually "saw the light" (NOT the New Light) and the entire family is "out".
Attorney evaluates latest Trump Lawsuits (LONG)
I found the time to sit through most of this. This guy has changed his tune from saying all the suits lacked evidence to this one may get traction.
I believe the only goal was to get to the SCOTUS in an expeditious manner, and that's where it is going.
Will it gain any better traction there is yet to be seen.
i thought i would post an encouraging experience i found today.
i've been seeing a lot of 70-80 year old jws waking up, and their children are posting their experience on reddit.
these are old elders, pioneers, circuit overseers who have given their everything and finally at the end of their life, are walking away.. maybe the key to waking up is that a person has to have a deep sense of right and wrong.
Totally agree with your thoughts there, Joe!
i've had a few medical procedures.
once, i had a massive loss of blood and needed 6 units of blood to replace the loss.
however, i'm curious as to what ex's state to be their religion when filling out the required paperwork when being admitted into a hospital.
I selected "NONE" however the hospital records had "JW" stored from over a decade ago. Thus I had to make it clear to every attending physician that they did not have to be concerned with that. I was worried that having to make a big deal about it could cause gossipy staff to talk about it and work its way to any JW working there.
Computers never forget.
