i was sitting in the kingdom hall during the watchtower study where, as is common, the article was talking about how the israelites as a nation abandoned jehovah.. "but wait," i thought, "having a nation represent him here on earth was part of his plan.
I think that statement is very true!
I think most doubts are created by something said or something that happens within the Borginization. A person "ignores" all the little things until there is that one proverbial straw that brings everything to a grinding halt. Once a person opens the Pandora's Box to examine the religion, it's all over and can never be shut again.
just wondering if there is an apostafest scheduled this year of 2021/.
I have not seen flipper on here for sometime now. In California which is probably still under strict Covid mask and distancing and limiting crowd regulations so doubtful any meetup there this year.

something i've notice with born in jw kids posting on reddit, is that they have no problem telling off the elders.
this generation of born in jw kids just have no fear of who the elders represent because they know from researching on the internet, that jehovah is a created character by ancient people, and no different or real, than thanos.. these kids know exactly what's going on with the child sexual abuse in the organization.
they also have read and memorized the elder's book online.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police believe two customers shot an armed robber at a GetGo on the northeast side of town this evening.
Police received a call around 6:30 p.m. about an armed man attempting to rob the convenience store, located near the intersection of Pendleton Pike and Shadeland Ave. Police say the man arrived at the GetGo in a stolen vehicle. When the man pulled out a gun, police believe two armed customers fired multiple shots at the suspect.
IMPD found the suspect in critical condition from a gunshot wound. EMS transported him, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

And if you already have the pleasure of living in a city/county/area that is not yet taken over by these libtards, then you can still opt to boycott the Democrat City nearby.
I used to work much nearer to the City in our Metro area and thus it was convenient to go to the City for doctors or even shopping, etc. NO MORE! I boycott the City and stay in the "red" suburbs and spend my cash there. Let the damn City crash and burn and let the residents there kill one another.
this year independence day , the 4th of july, went mostly unnoticed.
the weather didn’t help for many but besides that, the day was looked upon by news media and politicians as very negative.
there is nothing wonderful about america that should be celebrated!

most people over the generations have taken pride in their heritage, nationality and country they are from.
it’s not uncommon to hear of “proud” italians and proud irish people , as an example.
are you proud of your country and your nationality or do you feel shame or indifference?.

many that have come to this forum have left the jws religion and moved on with their lives but from a outsider's viewpoint what do think makes the jws religion wrong or incorrect as a active christian faith ?.
somethings come to mind such as its long continuous end times/armageddon soon doctrine which has really been a core doctrine for decades going right back to its beginning .. maybe they should have adopted the stance as other christian based faiths and adhered to jesus's own words when he said " no one knows of the time not even he ".

If you were to ask 100 people on the street, a few might be familiar enough with Jehovah's Witnesses to know that they distribute literature, but not one of them would understand the message itself.
If you were to ask 100 typical JW's, (only) a few might be familiar enough with JW doctrine to have any chance of explaining it to others.

We (our entire family, us, kids, grandkids) and a number of friends all had a great 4th of July! BBQ ribs, brats, burgers, chicken (for the health conscious) and lots of cerveza for the adults. Mimosas and Bloody Marys for brunch. Everyone enjoyed the pool (even though the night temps kept the water at only about 80°). Lots of neighbors within view had very impressive fireworks displays of their own and one evening we drove into the small town nearby which put on a fantastic fireworks display. (Not Disney, but about 40 minutes non-stop).
There was however quite a bit of shooting as a few in the mix brought their guns for some fun target practice. One young lady was excited as it was the first time she had shot a gun. There were no assaults or gunshot wounds despite the fact that the crowd had people of different races and sexual orientation and yet no arguments or fights about which bathroom to use, etc. GOSH! Now that I think about it -- Maybe it was a little boring? What a shame!
