  DEUT 18:20-22 --20 "But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21“You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’ 22“When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."

  To continue to follow these men/prophets (Yes, they claimed to be God's prophet equal to Ezekiel. WT 1972 04/01 pg 197) is to directly go against the direction of God's Word.

  luke 21:24 *(this scripture is incorrectly referenced to daniel 4:25. correct would be to revelation 11:2 nwt).

  JW's are the biggest failure in PR history.

  Billions of (fake) hours counted and a shitload of money (all contributed by the R&F) in the effort of getting a message out to the public to save lives -- with what result? 1/10th of 1% of mankind has "gotten the message" about their survival.

  If hurricane warnings and tornado warnings and flood warnings achieved that same kind of results, (almost) everyone would die.

  I'd estimate that at least 50% of current JW's do not even remember the 1975 fiasco. They were not even born yet. The fact is that you have to be a born-in and at least 60 years old to recall it all. And you know damn well not to EVER mention it.

  What any one else learns about it when they discover it, the info is based on the "WT spin". You know the spin. The "brothers" (GB) never said that! Some people "ran ahead" of the organization. But you can find a lot of exaggerated misinformation from apostates.

  Annual service report - yet another analysis - big trouble for the WTS

  there's already been a couple of threads on the 2021 report with insightful comments, but i'm vain enough to want to start my own topic with some additional thoughts..... as others on the other thread noted, it's useful to compare the 2021 numbers not only to 2020 but also 2019 (the last non-pandemic report).. there are some really troubling (if you're a wt headquarters guy) news in the latest report.. 1) baptisms plummet.

  2021 - 171,393. baptisms dropped 20% in 2020, and 30% more in 2021. the total drop from 2019 to 2021 is an amazing 44%.. one could argue that without in-person assemblies and conventions you'd expect baptisms to drop.

  but....if someone really wants to get baptized, jws will find a way.

  The drop in baptism numbers does not surprise me. JW's have been dunking their kids at an earlier age year after year. I am aware of an 8 year old being baptized in a neighboring Cong. I can just hear the CO espousing how it will protect her in the future when she is faced with decisions (dating, association, alcohol, drugs, cigs), but IMO it's impossible to defend that an 8 year old is mature enough to make the most important decision of their life. Doubtful this kid is even allowed to determine their own bedtime.

  i found this interesting topic on the current views among jws regarding the overlapping generation.. the posts are hilarious.

  how do most jehovah's witnesses explain the overlapping generation?.

  i've asked a couple of jws to explain the overlapping generation and they directed me to the website jw------org.. either they don't know, or they do know but don't want to discuss it because they know it's bogus and embarrassing.. either way, surely they must know that this just extended the last days another 80 years from the time fred franz died.

  I know very few JW's who could have explained the original doctrine of "this generation" and explained how JW's arrive at 1914 as the start of the Last Days Times, time, and half a time and 2520 years from a year for a day and all that mumbo jumbo.

  Do ya see that BS in an recent publications? Or, on JW(dot)Borg? NO! They simply state that 1914 was the beginning of the Gentile Times and of the prophesied Last Days. Yeah, dumbass, it's simply a matter of record.

  JW's used to call at the doors with THREE scriptures and a 192-page book for a Bible Study.

  Then 32-page brochures took over more-or-less (less cost to print).

  Then 1 or 4 page tracts. (Remember the "Kingdom News" series?)
  

  NOW JW's CARRY A BUSINESS CARD STATING GO TO JW(DOT)bORG. And thanks to Covid, they just mail it in the mail randomly and anonymously. (But evidently sometimes they draw pretty shit on the envelope.)

  We don't have many regular conversations anymore with JW's, but the few we do with JW family and an occasional "bump in" don't seem to concentrate on the "generation" aspect, bur rather just the NEARNESS. Any day now. Very, very soon. And isn't that evident by all the fulfillment of the signs ? Wars. Pestilence. (That's a biggie right now.) etc.

  Consider too that once a JW gets up there is age where their life is sealed -- that is, no longer any chance of making much of the change in the course they are on -- they have to believe it is near or else admit they will die.

  for those of you who are still having to keep up appearances (pimo's) because of family who are still in, my wish for you is anything that will open the eyes of your family members and finally be set free.. tonight here in minnesota, happydad will be celebrating with a bloody mary, right here at home in my sweats.
