  Was / Is God biased ? prejudiced against certain Peoples / Tribes or Nations ?

  let me explain :.

  after the creation account of the bible, tribes of people and nations began to form and spread around the land.. god first chose noah and his family to protect them as he destroys all others in the flood.. and he ticks off everyone in babel ?

  and then he favours abraham and his descendants as the nation of israel culminating in the jewish lineage to jesus the son of god.. he has never had any dealings with any other people`s or nation isn`t that some form of favouritism ?

  But, if someone walked out of a tomb, that would be a sufficient basis for believing what that person had to say.

  Just because THE BIBLE says that someone walked out of a tomb (presumably a dead someone), does not mean it is proof of THE BIBLE being correct about that or anything else. THE BIBLE cannot corroborate THE BIBLE.

  Even WTS demands TWO WITNESSES. (Mattew's Bible account and Luke's Bible account are NOT two witnesses.)

  When a child falls through the ice while skating and is finally recovered 30 minutes later and yet is revived, that makes the National News! ABC NBC CNN FOX AP Etc. and it is included in more than one study on the subject and debated in Medical Journals.

  Even the writings of Josephus, which is said to make two references to the existence of Jesus of Nazareth, was unaware of the man being crucified or of any record or even rumors of his rising from the dead. (WOW!) Perhaps that kind of event just wasn't newsworthy back then, despite that numerous sources that do note the births and deaths and reigns of the Cesars and other world rulers.

  Disfellowshipped & Returning

  i am disfellowshipped and have been going back for well over a year now but because its not my 1st time it will be a bit longer before i will write my letter, would really love to find others in my area who are in the same situation as some many know its very isolating, not mixing with worldly people and not being allowed to be with family and friends can take its toll on a person, just wondering if there is anyone in perth wa that would like to get together for a coffee, movie ect .

  a simple " me" if you dont want to say more--or a short explanation about who is shunning you and how long has this been going on.. i'll set the ball rolling: my daughter--her husband and children; my younger son --no contact from them for 40 years...because i left their religion.. (edit--i just noticed the typo in the header--if should be of ).

  My closest elder friend is now ghosting me. (We've been gone about 8 (+/-) years.) Maybe he will still call to remind me of the Memorial.

  Our kids are POMO. Most siblings have not cut us off. One is PIMO, others are PIMI (but still stay in contact since we are just "stumbled" and inactive).The ones who have cut us off have done so for other reasons, but take the self righteous position that we are "bad" people.

  another wanted a celebration of life which the elders squelched as far as i know.

  if instead of thailand, he had gone to a place where its legal and (supposedly) has some sort of oversight to prevent exploitation?

  like nevada in the u.s or amsterdam in europe?

  would the being unfaithful part still be a deal breaker as far as supporting his channel?

  I think that late night comedians and talk show hosts give JWs more recognition than they will ever generate on their own. Even their abuse issues get nothing like the Catholic Church did as front page news. That's why the GB can keep declaring it's all lies -- it isn't newsworthy enough to create any serious amount of attention in the public eye.

  JW's are 1/10th of 1 percent of the global population. Of course, everyone else is going to be destroyed.

  I recall being in on a conversation between two elders where one was explaining to the other that he had maxed out on his union pension and had decided to change positions so he could join a different union and start building his nd pension. I did not have the balls to say something like "but you're sure Armageddon is so very very near", right?

  It was wonderful to get my mind back ~ LHG

  I don't think I've looked at it that way. Good summation.

  Occasionally my wife & I dwell on the fact that we lost our "network of friends" when we left. And of course, one can say there were NOT really "friends" if they were "conditional" friends. True. But they seemed "real" at the time when we were still drinking the Koolaid. They were the people who visited you when you were hospitalized. They were the people you got together with for Pinochle or Hearts or went to lunch with after the meeting. That void is real.

  But I noticed this week when one of our kids posted something on Facebook they had dozens of replies and comments which were mostly from people that I do not know. I realized that they had developed their "new network" which is why they say they don't miss the unconditional "friends" that have disappeared from their lives. They have new lives. Bravo!

  I’ll sign an agreement with you, with these terms:

  — I give you $20,000 cash right now

  — You sign a contract giving me 100% of all your assets 5 years from now. You can continue to use those assets (house, car, cash, etc.) for the next 4 years and 364 days, but at year 5, it is all legally and fully mine

  I know a JW who did something like that. His lucrative job was moving and he did not want to relocate. He accepted a one-time payout of his retirement funds "knowing" that it would be more than enough for he & his wife to live on until Armageddon.

  You know the rest of the story. In a few years the money was all gone and they were still "waiting on Jehovah". No Armageddon. No Paradise. No pandas. No retirement. No money. And died a ward of the State.
