a sister said the other day at the ministry group “”what is all this talk that the end is still some way off” she said she has been waiting for decades and she was told there is no way it would take this long.
some others said in an annoyed kind of way yes they would have made different decisions decades ago if they knew the end still would not have come by 2023.. how will the majority react in a few more decades time when the end still hasn’t come?.
why all that talk of sense of urgency decades ago?.
I wonder how many are physically in but mentally at least doubting the GB
I believe there are LOTS of them! They just know that they should NOT express such doubts among their JW friends/family or they risk being seen as weak or disloyal.
is the watchtower predicting the.
end by 2034 through subtle hints?.
the watchtower, december 15, 2003, pages 14 - 19. please be patient while the web page loads page scans of the watchtower article.
I do recall some pontification about this article way back then.
JW's are always trying to pin down a date.
i always found the account of the "woman at the well" to be particulary interesting.
this unknown shunned woman of ill-repute was specifically sought out and chosen by jesus.
why?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=el7dzonv3iy&ab_channel=michaelpapale.
I always said it was a scriptural example of Jesus "yielding" the law/rules (to not associate with Samaritans), when someone asked about speaking to or associating with a DF person. For example, when someone had died and one of their family members was DFd. Maybe the RULES say to shun them, but Jesus showed us there would be some reasons to "break" the rules.

I think there are many long time JW’s with such feelings. Some are maybe bold enough to say it, but only in a whisper. If they speak about it to loud or too often, they’ll find themselves in a back room meeting with a couple elders.

norwegian jehovah's witnesses are in court this wednesday and thursday.
they are fighting the government's decision to remove their registration as a religious community.. .
Is it possible now to have been announced from the platform as "no longer a jw" (disassociated) and not know it? (no letter or call).
It was common practice on occasion ie a JW compromising on neutrality to simply verbally "spread the word" that so-and-so should be treated as DF'd. They did not want to DF someone for joining the military or voting as that could be construed very negatively by some Governments. So, for the record, said person was simply choosing not to associate but never had any official position taken against them.

For now it seems to me like a way for them to have something technical that allows some association without changing anything meaningful in their policies. Most JWs will never see a Flock book.
Many devout JW's already "go beyond" what has been written regarding shunning. Many already shun "inactive" members who have had NO judicial determinations (faders). They simply no longer show up for meetings or field circus. Still, the super-righteous JW's are shunning them.
i would like to share an experience from my younger days, which now as i sit here i can't believe it's almost been 10 years now since this happened.
it still feels like it was yesterday.. so my family and i moved out of our old hall and wanted to start new because of the crap we all went through in the old hall.
this is a link of my story ne posted for me http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/experiences/244665/1/one-experience-in-our-old-kingdom-hall-that-still-haunts-me .
Big hat. No Cattle.
we're you regular at the 3 meetings days watchtower hade?
i remember our was tuesday, thursdays and saturdays.
in reality it's crazy they hade so many meetings.
Big fish. Little pond.
Lots of those in the JW world.
Or as my rancher friends from Texas would say -- Big hat. No cattle.
this has been announced on the jw's official website, in the "jw news" section.
this is not a joke.
anthony moron da turd is out as a gluttonous body member!
I remember hearing Morris on a monthly broadcast saying that we shouldn't be overly excited about the cry of Peace and Security.
As I read this thought I recalled his recent comment about telling is sons that they shouldn't count on seeing the end of this system (or something to that effect). I think he was trying to get that point across to the longtime JWs in the audience -- "Don't count on it, folks!"
