  I don't think Trump refers to ME as a SOB.

  But I do know the Dems have referred to "Deplorables" and I think that was supposed to include people like me.

  And when Sleepy Uncle Joe does that fireside chat, I hope his nursemaid (or Doctor Wife or sister -- he won't be sure which it is) is standing by to wipe the sputum off of his chin as he slobbers/drools while wondering about WTF he is. Maybe they can get him a Mr. Rogers sweater.

  Rub, I think you're right if Michelle or Powell would agree to the VP slot.

  I think Michelle is busy making a shitload of money off her hubby's 8 years there.

  The word is that Powell's wife is against him getting back into politics.

  I’m Seeing Some Trump Fatigue Out There

  i’ve heard from a few trump voters that they are getting tired of the whole trump thing.

  one person yesterday said he lies.

  another person said she hears from her clients in her business that the constant drama and push back from all sides against trump is fatiguing.. i remind people that before this worldwide pandemic, we had the best numbers in jobs.

  There was a spike in new cases (in the US) a week ago, but new cases have been steadily declining the past 6 or 7 days. But the number of deaths related to it have been in a steady decline since mid-April.

  The "spikes" are in the communities that don't listen or practice reasonable precautions. You can't sit in a circle passing joints or whiskey bottles. You can't live with 4 families or 4 generations in a 2 BR apartment. You can't pack like sardines into a bus or subway train.Refrain from hugging 100 different people at a wedding or funeral or party. You can't fix stupid!
  

  You must use sanitizing wipes or hand sanitizer in public. Clean the shopping cart going in. Sanitize your hands going out. And don't pick your nose in between.

  It's a new virus that is here to stay. Some people are still going to get it. Sadly, some of them will even die, but most will be "uncomfortable" for a week with flu-like symptoms. If you are in a high risk group, stay the f*ck at home or at least practice strict social distancing and sanitizing.

  I think my first contact was to download the KM when they set up the restriction that non-publishers could not receive it (or some dumb rule like that).

  Even after reading a lot here, I too hesitated to "join" for fear of giving up too much information about me. I'm sure I opened a separate email account to register and have no idea what it is now.

  Being a JW for so many years causes you to think that everyone is "out to get ya".

  there have been a number of threads touching on this before, leolaia for one, back in the day when we had many an erudite poster, showed the pagan origins of many things, including the passover , and by extension, the jw " memorial".. what prompted my thought on this was a conversation i had the other day with a young lady, never a jw, who said the jw stance on birthday celebrations, was groundless and cruel.. i thought later that jw's do a " pick and mix " as usual, as they do with so many other things, on what they condemn as "pagan" and what they accept and practice.. the institution of marriage itself is pagan, marriages were performed long before the bible was written, and long before the nation of israel was formed.

  yet jw's perform marriages, use the veil, and the ring, all pagan.

  the names of the days of the week, the months of the year, all pagan.. i guess you guys can think of many more things ?
