  What do you think will be different in the Organization after the pandemic is over?

  whether they go back to door-to-door or not, what will be different?

  do you think there will be a noticeable drop-off in attendance as we have read on here that many have left or faded?

  will there be a mass selling of halls?

  They have said that if the door to door work was so important to Jehovah, ---He would have never allowed it to be stopped for over a year.

  It will be "spun" that it was Divine Direction that the D2D work be "phased out" (just as the Paper & Ink printing has been phased out) because it's too dangerous, or it's not productive because everyone must work in this shitty old world, so no one is at home. HOW MUCH BETTER it is to greet people while doing Cart Witnessing!! Yes! It's just like the apostles in the 1st Century who witnessed in the marketplaces because that is where the people were and where they are today!

  This will also get them beyond the privacy law issues in Europe and elsewhere.

  I don't think D2D was really bringing in any recruits. It was all about "busy work" for the R&F JW. Now they'll just have to concentrate on carts, letter writing, phone witnessing, etc.

  It's always been about COUNTING TIME -- NOT making time count.

  JW's getting creative (or desperate) to preach during the pandemic ....

  so, there's this social game called second life.. there one creates an avatar and can lead a parallel life.

  there's a bit of everything, from general environments to adult.

  it can be a hub for creative people, it can be a magnet for creeps.

  I think JW's are getting creative so as to convince themselves that they are still "preaching". Face it, they never were really very effective about getting out their message about "God's Kingdom". Simply ask any typical person what they know about JW's and you'll be lucky if get anything more than a blurb about not celebrating Christmas or birthdays, or maybe if you're really lucky something about blood transfusions (but that's likely someone that ha some personal experience with a JW family member in crisis).

  Jesus really chose a shitty PR group. Any Fortune 500 biz would have fired them for nonperformance.

  Do you sometimes bemoan the LOST idea, or Belief, that Someone Powerful was going to set all things right?

  so it looks like about half of my jw relatives are not going back to the meetings once they open up the kingdom halls.

  the main reason all of them give is that if we were truly living in the last days, jehovah would not have allowed the door to door preaching work, and kingdom hall meetings to stop for over a year.. the elders have talked to some of them and tried to convince them that letter writing is accomplishing the same thing as door to door, and zoom is the same as meetings-----------but my relatives just won’t buy it anymore.

  just a note here, at first, the kingdom hall lock-downs, and the no preaching door to door was not that bad,the relatives still held on to their faith strongly because they believed it was temporary.

  There was a mourning period once I fully let myself face the fact that I had spent my life engaged in magical thinking.~ Pete ZaHut

  "Mourning Period" describes it well. This was the most difficult revelation to have to come to terms about. With so much (real) injustice and unfairness in the world, I really longed for the time that all matters would be "set straight". Now I see that's never going to happen. It is what it is. Kids with cancer. Good people injured and in wheelchairs. Etc. No magical Great One to fix it.

  I mostly regret all the things that I "put off" for later to pursue "Kingdom Interests". For one thing, now that I realize that no one really gives a sh!t about with whom or how often a person is having sex, I'd have f***ed my eyes out as an older teen/young adult. No making up for those times that have passed. In a more practical way I would have put greater emphasis into investing for the future rather than thinking everyone was going to throw the money into the streets.

  The other difficult thing has been that since my wife has awakened she realizes that she is NOT going to get me "when I'm Perfect" (in the New World). She's tolerated a lot of "imperfection" through the years and frankly she's probably sorry she didn't "move on" when she was younger, healthier and had "more future" to move on to. Now we're kinda stuck here "until death do you part" because it's more practical than doing anything else.

  my question is how do they plan to make their investment back?

  my guess is that they are hoping that this somehow brings in converts.

  Biden honorable?

  You mean you like the way he sniffs little girls hair (and older girls hair too)?

  Or you mean you like the Hunter Biden China and Ukraine money scandals?

  Or you like the way Biden got "four Pinochios" for his statement about the Georgia voting rules? (yeah Honest)

  Regarding Harris -- she couldn't even garner enough support in her Home State of California. And no one debates that she has f*cked her way to top to benefit her career.

  Watch Biden's (RARE) appearances on camera. NOTHING IS MORE SCRIPTED THAN A PRESIDENT'S PRESS CONFERENCE. Biden doesn't have any idea about what's to follow his scripted comments. He is senile! It's sad. It's embarrassing! The rest of the World is watching this catastrophe and laughing their asses off.

  i know that all of the assembly/convention attendant training videos have been leaked publicly, but has anyone gotten a hold of the parking training videos?.

  i saw these about a year and a half ago, when i was still pimo.

  as bizarre and manipulative as the attendant video series is, the parking videos put them to shame.

  Really? How much "training" does a person need to tell people where to park their car.

  Couldn't put it down.

  Not sure it would mean anything to someone who was never a JW, but I enjoyed it.
