  Royal Commission taking our emails to heart

  during the proceedings of australian royal commission, as many of you, i also took time to share with the office of mr stewart, my thoughts and perspective on what what being said and not said by the witness elders on the stand.

  within a day a received a reply from office of angus stewart thanking and appreciating the insight from those on the "inside".

  yesterday i received a further email that my correspondence was passed on to case study 29 (jehovah's witnesses) team for their consideration.. it sounds like they are taking all our collective experience and knowledge into account as the commission continues its work..

  what have archaeologists found that shows that jericho was captured in a short time?.

  joshua 6:10-15, 20 says that the israelite soldiers marched around the city of jericho once a day for six days.

  I don't disagree with you here as I don't have the facts. The W.Ts take on things is usually to benefit themselves in some way. When it comes to the Bible then I tread cautiously. Many times it`s been said to be wrong only down the line to turn out right. The city of Petra for example. Wasnt it said to be impossible for a city to be built in a mountain & then they found it. The Exodus, crossing the Red sea etc. Well that's my opinion be it right or wrong I happen to have a great deal of respect for the bible. The WTBTS

  i`ve heard many pioneers claim that they are deserving of material things because they are the ones who make all the sacrifices.

  one claimed that jehovah had made sure that she got absolutely everything she wanted right down to shelfs so she could put up pic`s of her family because, to quote "we are so deserving, we`ve made the sacrifice".

  mind you this is the same sister who told me "it`s harder for me having my son d.fs than for a mother loosing her child in death".

Do you think that Jehovah is so busy looking out for the pioneers making sure they get all the extras cause their just so amazing, that he hasn't noticed all the children dying of starvation every day?

  so any way i wonder if this kinda of activity is the norm in halls?

  my wife has my youngest boy calling an older couple in the hall grampa and grandma, my oldest daughter called another older brother grandpa, and the ms that is studying with my two oldest boys on the down low (like i don't know), he's calling g them his boys.

  Yes I agree with cappytan on this. IT IS ABSOLUTLY WRONG. In this day & age & especially with what we have just witnessed with the R.C there is no way your children should be referring to anybody this way, unless they are long standing friends or members of the family. My kid`s are in their 20`s now, even 15yrs ago I never aloud it, I made it clear "you are not their auntie or uncle. Pissed off some of the oldies but I didn't care. You need to protect your children. & no I`m not being extreme, I`ve seen it happen & the consequences have been terrible for the families involved. Adults that tell kids to mind there elders are putting them in a lions den. If others don't like it that you say no to this then tell them to SOD OFF! your kids are first

  so i've noticed lately that my wife seems to think that in order to have a good marriage both people must be "spiritual".

  she thinks being close as a family is all about family worship night, field service and praying together.

  i know where these ideas are coming from but it is very hard to combat them.

  I just had another thought, maybe you could think on this. There is a big difference between a religious person & a spiritual person. The Pharisees were R & that's why they were so unforgiving & ridged, made serving God a heavy burden for the people. Jesus was S so flexible, kind, forgiving etc. WTBTS are most definitely R. As far as the 3 way cord goes didn't Jeff Jako say at the R.C that those acting in harmony with the bible could also be said to speak for God. So if your applying the principles of scripture in the way you deal with your wife then you are a spiritual man, even if you choose not to be a religious one. Therefore she does not need to worry. You explain that to her & back it up with actions her confidence in you will grow.

  A Judicial experience.

  when i was an elder in the 80s, a 16 year old baptized jw girl had confessed that at school during lunch a boy kissed her and touched her privates over her dress.

  the circuit overseer was in town and we told him of the situation and he called the society and then told us that mother said we were not allowed to conduct the funeral in the kingdom hall or anywhere else with the threat of removing us and being dealt with judicially if we disobeyed.

  the mother who is about 79 years old comes once a year to talk to my mom about the situation.

  I think that the advise from J Aquila is great. Us girls love to be loved, attention to feel beautiful & that we are the only one. Sometimes men are clumsy with us emotionally. Not because their bad their just men & they see it differently. You need to up the love, look at it from her point of view (at least try). Some of the things the borg says about marriage is really good. About showing honour to ones wife, loving her as your own body, not looking at other women etc. We`re romantic at heart, that's the stuff we see, so if you don't want to be spiritual then your no longer obligated to do the other things. You need to get her to see you do those things because of her not cause of the borg. Example: The sisters were always flirting with my husband, cause he gets women, respects them & is an all round great guy. It drove me insane, they would come up & talk to him & totally ignore me, there bapped sis. I felt really insecure about it & it caused some arguments between us. These women were smarter, prettier & thinner than me, it made me feel like he could do better, I never said that out of fear. Then one day I blurted it out that I felt jealous. You know what he said "I`m the man I am because of the woman I married, I`m not interested in anybody else" all my fears went away. You see this is how we think. Find out what she is really feeling, what is behind her actions & words. Go from there.

  Local Congregation Takes Away My Dad's Phone Hook-Up (HE'S 85 YRS. OLD)

  this happened about 6 months ago, didn't really have an opportunity to post about it (been busy), but they still haven't given back his password for the phone hook-up.

  they say that this is direction from the "branch office".

  i think it's complete bs, the real reason why they are doing this is to punish me & my family because i am basically a ghost when it comes to meetings & any type of activity.
